I recently bought one. Very nice. Has a strong 3.5 liter engine with a 6 speed auto transmission, and runs like a champ. I am quite happy with it, and feel we got a really good deal on it. We ended up with a fully loaded limited model for only a $1000 over base. (X Pricing does that)

As to the comments that it is a renameing of the freestyle. Nah. The ford engineers ripped out the Freestyle Variable transmission after only two years. They knew something was up with it if they yanked it that soon. They also increaed the size and power of the engine too.

I also agree that buying new may not be a good idea, let someone else eat the depreciation. I bit the bullet and will eat it this time, all my other cars were used, and I guess that it was about time to buy new.

It is basically a re-badged Freestyle. Ford is hoping to capitalize on their best selling car name plate by renaming the 500 and the Freestyle as Taurus and Taurus X. There have been surprisingly few problems with the Freestyle. I say surprising because when the Focus was introduced, it was nothing BUT trouble. Since the car has been available for a few years, you're not likely to have the usual '1st year bugs'.

I want either Taurus the sedan and the Taurus X. It has more power then it's contemporary the Freestyle. It looks like a great car too get.

That relies upon. do you desire a third row seat?Or do you desire all-wheelpersistent? if so, the Taurus X is your determination for the two one in each and every of those strategies. Ive study the specs on the Venza. It makes no point out on the third row seat nor AWD. If neither strategies are mandatory, then choose for the Venza (based in simple terms on it being a Toyota).

In my opinion you should never ever buy a car new. Why can't people learn? Those things just go down in value. Even new they are already 25% more expensive than they are worth, then you go and pay on them for 5 years? Even if you can afford this, your money is better spent elsewhere. Please buy a reasonable car, and save the rest. You will be happy you did this...later. Trust me. :)

If you plan in keeping it until the "wheels fall off" (which shouldn't take too long) and you don't care about resale value or reliability, go ahead knock yourself out, its your money.
