US electric works differently than UK electric, so you'll need an adaptor. it should work if you get the right adaptor.

The power in the UK is 220 volts, 50 cycles (Hz), while the power in the US is 110 volts, 60 cycles. Look on the back of your Karaoke machine. You should find a label indicating the voltages and voltage frequencies that it will work with. Look for something like 110-220 V, 50-60 Hz. If you see only 220 volts and 50 Hz, it probably won't work in the US. If this Karaoke machine is newer, however, it's likely to run on all voltages and frequencies, and you may only need a simple plug adapter. In addition, the User Guide (manual) will absolutely explain which voltages and frequencies this unit can support. If you don't have the manual, there's a very good chance you can download it from the manufacturer's web site. Finally, any good electronics service shop in the US will be able to tell you whether or not it will work. Just don't tell your new neighbors you have a Karaoke machine!

no you wont be able to use it.
The UK runs on 240 volts from the plug socket. where as the US runs on 120 Volts.
you may be able to get a travel plug, like you would use for say a hairdryer on holiday, but i don't think you will get enough juice to work on you machine.
but if you don't try you will never know.
if you get over there and cant use it, then flog it on eBay and make some money back.
