She is a little over a yr old. She was in heat about 3 months ago. She has been swollen in her vaginal area ever since. She has swollen nipples and look likes there is milk. She is an inside dog and no other dogs have been around her. We even go outside with her, because we were afraid of other dogs impregnating her. I heard dogs are only pregnant for 60 days. Well this is way over 60 days. Any suggestions? Besides takign her to the vet. I cant get her in for a few days. Thanks

Stand your pet on all four paws, place your hand underneath stomach area toward back legs.Feel very gently, and if she is with pups, you should be able to feel the little hard balls within her.If her utters have milk in them when mashing on nipples, this pet is definately pregnant and is close to delivery.Your pet may have not conceived on first breeding, and the term for carrying pups is usually 63 days from time of conceiving.

If she was never loose outside without you then I'd say NO. A dog will normally go 63 days. Dog's do have false pregnancy's though. I'd bet she's false. Is she taking socks or towels and nesting with them? If so, a false preg. isn't a big deal. It will subside. IF she starts to have a green discharge a vet is in order and get her there fast. Then she is bred and the pups died and a major infection can kill her. Only a vet can handle this.

In my personal experience, she's in a false preg. Get her spayed. The next heat cycle will be 6 months after the first one. Ease your mind and have her spayed.

Could be a phantom pregnancy, or dogs can be pregnant for over 60 days, not usually more than 75 though. Get her to the vet as soon as you can, but if she seems in any pain or starts leaking then you need an emergency vet asap.

If she was in heat 3 months ago and when she was in heat, there were no males around, then no she is not pregnant. Cannot get pregnant by herself. Dogs are pregnant for about 63 days so even if she had been pregnant she would have had them by now. She may have had a false pregnancy.

Does her nipples pop out? Does she look like she got any bigger? If you go outside with her and watch her all the time then I don't think she's pregnant unless one day if somebody from your house wasn't watching her out there.
