As per the Hindu beliefs,Maa Durga is worshipped for courage,power and strength,while Maa Saraswathi is worshipped for gaining knowledge,intelligence and education. Both are not same.
But still,if you worship Saraswati with full devotion in a Durga temple or vice-versa,no harm would be caused.God is in our mind and if mind is pure,God will surely bless us.

If Saraswati Temple is not available, please do not worry. You can worship Durga also. Or just keep a Picture of Saraswati in the house and pray. Most important thing is that you should pray in your heart and read and work well and automatically you will succeed in your endeavors-

Friend,
all gods and goddesses are the parts ( amsas )of Para Shakti.
So You worship any one, that reaches the Ultimate only.
Have no doubts.Try to see Saraswati goddess in Durga goddess and vise versa.Similarly all forms.
There is ONE THING ALONE.The Learned ones call it by many names ( Ekam Sat ,Viprah BahulaaVadanti)

Both are aspects of Divine Mother. Saraswati is the aspect of abundance, where Durga is more of the aspect of courage and strength.

On Dussera days they do pooja for Saraswati Maa so no problem and no hassles

Every way of being religious is the same or has the same mental effects .it is with what ammount of piousness you pray . it is only a different name of the medicine with the same composition.
