There are a couple of main reasons this (inappropriate posting) occurs...one is that they've never bothered to read the guidelines and thus aren't aware explict sexual posts aren't allowed here, or (as you said) they just don't care (as signified by finding ways to get around the profanity filter instead of simply not using the dissallowed word spelled in any way).
Some people post inappropriate content simply because the rules say not to, and they don't like being told how to behave (a number of the trolls are like that).
I wish Y!A would come up with a better, faster, and more permanent way of dealing with the violaters...but that doesn't appear to be a priority to them.

Whilst I can in some ways see your point, and there are some loosers out there who post questions with sexual content just to gain attention, I think the problem of too many children on here is far more important. Adults who come on here want to try and help by seing if they can answer serious questions, but all they get is a load of 12 year olds asking how to get themselves a boyfriend. There is no way of completely controlling the contents of the questions, since anyone (even those under the age of 14) are being allowed to join yahoo answers.

With an email address. Kids can get on those web sites too. Parents should block them from using certain web sites. I think kids should only be on web sites that are Just For Kids. And web sites that help them with there homework. But at the same time we cannot protect them from everything. Just teach them whats right and wrong, instead of them finding things from complete strangers online. You can't control what everyone says and when you report them all they have to do is make up a new email address. If any thing I would suggest that you tell them to make up a yahoo answers for kids only. Though sometimes kids really want adult advice when they can't talk to there parents. Good luck trying to change the internet ways.

You're pretty unlikely to get anywhere on forcing people to reveal their email addresses. I don't reveal mine because I don't want more spam than I currently get. There is already a language filter which is likely as much as you're going to get as far as policing.
The better solution might be what I suggested in Yahoo's survey which is age categories for "Singles & Dating". But even then I doubt anyone is going to enforce a ban on adult content.
Lastly I would suggest if you're worried about your kids on the internet then be a parent and monitor it from your end instead of trying to censor it from my end. And if you're worried about other people's kids then I would say you're probably neglecting yours.
Oh, and you have a nice day too.

Some people use everything in a wrong way, some have money for charity, others for night clubs, same thing goes for Yahoo answers, some use it to help and get help, others are here to destroy whatever they have the chance to.
Imagine if each person who posts a question or an answer will be posted with his phone number and details to the rest of the people, will you find anyone messing around anymore? No

How does posting "adult questions" and "sexual content" have anything to do with people not revealing their e-mail address? One is against Y/A Guidelines and the other is an option that you are given.

some people want an answer and feel that others can help them also not every one has extra money for a counselors. The reason people do not post their email address is they do not want every one and their friends to know who they are especially you as you would most likely be abusive to them

Thats why its in categories... children shouldnt be reading in those categories. besides no one under 13 should be on answers. and 13 year olds should know their boundaries. Dont blame the people asking questions perhaps look into the parents. parents should be monotering what their children do online. specially if they are under the age of 13.

I agree with Veno....everyone has the right to freedom of speech, if it bothers you so much about certain things that are posted on here, LEAVE!
You must be one very lonely, anal person.
