As much as I'd like to see the #24 win the 2007 championship, Imo, they won't succeed in their quest. As we've seen in the past, under the new "Chase' format, not always does the deserving driver/team/car owner win the championship, instead a driver who had/has no business challenging for the championship, gets "handed' the championship.
Hey, I'm all for the #24 winning their 5th championship, but I don't think they'll succeed in 2007.
I wish the #24 team the best of luck!!!!

He will be driving for a long time to get #5 because Tony Stewart is Gonna take the cup this year.
If the second half of the season was so good for Gordon wouldn't he have a few more Cups? Gordon sucks the second half! I think Smoke will have 5 before Gordon!

That prick tony stewrat isnt gonna win, dont worry. He is just getting a luck streak. Jeff or Jimmie will win the cup this year, because they will aslso start 1st and 2nd in points when the chase starts, and are both good the last 10 races. Jeff Gordon has definitely had a great season and has a really good shot at winning, and I think he will pull it off.

Hopefully the "Drive for FIVE" will end this year! I'm a huge Gordon fan, but even I am tired of hearin' that slogan! This is the first year I've cussed the CHASE format.. Gordon would have this thing locked up if it was like the old days... Oh well.. GET EM' HENDRICKS!

I''m surprised we havn't heard him whining about the chase format since he has the most points. Probably have to wait untill he loses the championship for the tears to flow. WAAAAAA If it wasn't for the chase I would have beat Edwards. Thats right Edwards. NASCARdomis has spoken. LOL still LOL.

He may be locked into the Chase, but when they start over in points, he won't be so far ahead and will have LOTS of competition. It's still anybody's game.

Jeff Gordon will be hurt by the chase system this year. Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin or Matt Kenseth will win the cup.

But watch out in 2008. Dale Jr. will finally get the chance he needed and will be the most competition that Jeff has had to contend with in a long time!
