I got mine around launch, and it was pretty glitchy at first, but since has gotten much better. now, if I could only say the same for the games.
The glitch was with the HDMI, it had trouble establishing a "handshake" with my TV, and the picture and sound would cut in and out because of that.

No. Can only go on personal experience and what I've heard, but mine's been fine since launch and I've not heard of any particular probs with it.
Heard the odd scare story, but nothing substantiated and definitely nothing anywhere near the scale of the 360 Ring of death.

The PS3 itself doesnt glitch but games can glitch on it...It all depends how well the game creators have made the game...If its a not so polished game u may see glitches happening in the game...same thing goes for any game on any console...all software can glitch or have a bug...

No, my PS3 has never had any clitches, and it has never froze, and I play it alot.
