I used it, and I had severe acne. So, it didn't work out for me. I also have very sensitive skin. So, even if I wore Spf 30, I still got burned. Close to a second degree burn. It took about 8 months for my skin to get back to normal, and even then, it still didn't look so good.
You want to know about it eh? lool. okay. Well, there's a cleanser that you use to wash your face with. Then after you wash your face, you use the toner. The toner pretty much closes the pores and sort of gives your skin a little "spritz" to moisturize it. Then, you put the moisturizer on. It is suppose to moisturize and heal pimples. HOWEVER, this moisturizer just made me break out even more and make my skin crack.
So...no, I didn't see any results. It didn't last. I would give it a 0/5, and yes it did irritate my skin. It wasnt worth the cost. EXCEPT,...the mask. lol. The mask was really good. I totally reccomend it.
I reccommend this product if you have mild or...less severe acne. And, if your skin isn't THAT sensitive.
I think the best solution is going to see a dermatologist. They can look at YOUR skin. YOUR needs. YOUR issues. And they can fix it. Just like they did with mine... ;).
They can give you pills to help your acne and it really does work wonderfully.
I'm 15 years old if this plays any important role in making your decision.
GOOD LUCK!

Pro-Active has helped many people. I use it and have noticed a difference. I can not use the refining mask because it has "sulfa" in it and i am allergic, but i hear it works great. Pro-Active may not work for everyone but the big this is you have to use as directed otherwise it won't work for you. I use it twice a day, (three times if I'm going to be wearing make-up) and I have had no irritation or redness and i have sensitive skin. Please keep in mind that right after using PA to clean your face wait to got into the direct sunlight for at least 30 mins. I would rate PA a 5, it was very much worth the cost, i saw results with in a week or so, they have lasted as long as i have used it. Acne doesn't always come from food, so don't believe everything you hear, i eat very well and have always had acne until PA. If you have any questions, please let me know. acegandp@aol.com

Results in about 2 weeks. They didn't last more than a few months then it would not work anymore. I would have to use it for 3 months and take a break. I finally gave up. Rate it 3. Yes it irritate my skin. Not worth the cost to me.
One thing it did was bleach everything! The face towel, my hair. It ended up burning off pieces of my hair at the forehead so I had these tiny growths all the time. Short little 1" pieces.

For the costs, I highly recommend you just go see a dermatologist. As you can see from the responses so far, Pro-Active goes work for some, but not for everyone. If it doesn't, then you've through money down the drain. May as well get it right the first time and see a professional.
Regarding acne and diet, science has virtually proven that the two are NOT related. Quitting spicy food is not going to do it, as it is pretty much caused by genetics. I only say that due to someone else's answer. No reason to waste your time changing your diet to stop this if it might not work, although it is always a good idea to eat healthy!

I tried it for about a year so...I never really saw results at all, maybe a little the first month or so but after the first month it would go back to how it use to be. it would rate it a 1, it was a complete waste of money.

Pro-Active may improve your skin and clean acne, but as it does that it might also irritate your skin making it turn red and dry. That's what happens to most facial cleaners that you use. You might want to use a more gentle facial cleanser such as the good skin facial cleanser you find at the Kohl's beauty department or Acne Free it won't irritate your skin as much as Pro-Active but I'm not sure about the results.
Hope that helped you.

works great for people with cystic acne ..... it's been my experience that oral medications may not provide the best results when used singly. If the use of proactive acne medicines be coupled to proactive treatment methods like Laser acne treatments, then far better results can be achieved.
Laser acne treatments, when performed by licensed doctors, help in the complete obliteration of scars that result from severe acne. This procedure is increasingly being used to treat the root cause of acne as well.

It takes about 2 weeks to a month to see real results, it worked fine for my daughter but some of her friends said it didn't work well for them, I contacted the company and they told me that it works but on some people it doesn't work as well, so it is a individual result type treatment.

I used it, and it was terrible. I have sensitive skin, and it dried me out like you wouldn't believe! I battles with acne for many years and seriously the only thing I would reccomend would be to see a dermatoligist and have them define the type of acne you have and try different perscriptions to clear it up. What I was perscribed that works wonders is Benzaclin, it dried me out a little in the beginning, but ultimately cleared up my face within a month. Good luck, and have patience it takes time to clear up your face but when it finially is, you will be so much more confident and happy!
good luck and best wishes!!
