no sound on windows vista?

after an update as don.. te sound jut wet and when i try to play music an error comes up telling me that there maybe no sound device installed. this is te error code i wasgiven wen i clicked web help...C00D11DF

thanks for any help or suggestions.

You need to install the driver for your sound card. Go to your manufacturer's web site and download it from there. Make sure that you get the Windows Vista version.

you did the update incorectly ur computer is dead now
