how can muslims justify horrible killings of the Yazidis in iraq?

despite their much-repeated assertion, it is very hard to credit that Islam is religion of peace. Yazidis are a pre-islamic religious group, but the muslims massacred them calling them kafirs!! Yet again Islam has exhibited brutality and intolerance of the most uncivilised attitude. What is the reaction of the decent, liberal and right-thinking muslims ?

There is much that muslims need to learn from the teachings of Islam. Islam teaches that adulterers be killed, muslim apostates be killed, homosexuals be killed...In fact its killing everwhere you see. What do these teachings indicate? That the religion is not able to accept different points of view, different lifestyles. What Muslims don't understand is that in tolerant societies they are not expected to commit adultery, homosexuality...etc. The only thing expected of them is to simply tolerate behavior which they might not like, thats all.
Why?
Because once the culture of not tolerating people who are different from you has set into society, it will cannot be clinically contained simply at killing apostates or adulterers. It spills out. Hence a sunni will regard a shia or a yezdi or anyone else as different from him. But for quite a lot of muslims this behavior does not stop at that. - That guy is different from us. Lets bump him off.
You see the same situation in Afghanistan (taliban vs non taliban), pakistan (shia sunni), Iraq (shia, sunni, yezdi), Iran (shia prosecuting bahais)........ yes even Saudi Arabia. The shias there live on lands which are oil rich but as a group they are the poorest due to policies of the SA govt. who are sunni wahabis. The oil wealth in muslim countries has to a large extent papered over these differences for the present.

Muslims say Islam is a logical religion but there is absolutely no logic in it as I have found found my discussions with several muslims.

Your question is stupid really. Islam did not kill any Yazidis. People killed Yazidis and that is messed up.

Get educated man. Your own sentence says, "Yazidis are a pre-Islamic religious group, but the Muslims massacred them calling them kafirs" (QUOTE)..........as you stated there are some people who are Muslims who murdered some people who are not Muslims (as kafr means non believer NOT non-Muslim). That doesn't mean Islam killed them.
Surely one would hope you are aware that all over the world since the beginning of time people have killed other people using religion as their justification. For that matter people kill people,it sucks. But to decide someone killed because they are Muslim, black, German, Indian or whatever is such an uneducated claim. It really shows one way thinking and the inability to open your eyes and see the entire world.

I don't admit to knowing Islamic beliefs that well so i can't say if it teaches to murder those who don't follow its teachings. As a Christian i find it utterly deplorable that anyone would commit murder because of religious or any other belief. Jesus teaches us to love one and other and to forgive so Elana you are wrong in your comments and for your information the Nazis did not follow Christianity Hitler was a opportunist he associated with the Catholic Church for reasons of influence he despised the Judeo Christian beliefs because of its teachings which were merciful and compassionate weak in his eyes and of course the Jewish connection. They will justify it with lines from the Quran, same as christians justify their killings with lines from the Bible, George Bush advocates killing, he uses the Bible as well. Thing is, religion is on trial here, not just Islam, its been going on for years, killings under the name of God. What to do? you shouldn't expect a justification (the people cant think straight at the moment), it has been a big mess there ever since US came, these things are sparked by propaganda(most likely by the US, a tactic to get the natives to go at each others throats)

I suggest you watch a turkish movie movie called "valley of the wolves, iraq", it shows what CNN hides from you[ı have no idea on how to get it, try limewire]

the quran clearly defines when to attack someone and when not to. Besides you cant know what they exactly do down there by watching CNN or doing some online research.

I'm getting tired of this dance, where you say Islam tells it's followers to kill kafirs, and I say no and show you from Islamic sources why you are incorrect, such as:

How can the Americans justify starting all this. The things that are happening now are simply effects of what the US gov put in motion. If the US gov had stayed away in the first place, all this would never have happened. I'm actually surprised that countries like Vietnam, Korea, Japan and Africa, doesn't coorporate with each other on slapping US back, for what the US have done to them.
