A girl that i was very interested in rejected me after a year of friendship. We both really liked each other and she said i "light a fire in her veins" when we are together. But after i asked her to be my gf she rejected me and started to go out fwith this other guy. Well obviously I was hurt and i don't wanna be her friend anymore. So I stopped talking to her for a week and she keeps sending me all these emails asking whats wrong with me and why i am ignoring her. I think its pretty f***ing obvious why im ignoring her. So finally I responded to her text and told her that she hurt me and I dind't know if us being friends would work especially since we both still have feeling for each other. She said that she "didn't want to lose you [me] as a friend." But im to the point where i could care less. I mean i know if i try to be her friend i will just end up getting hurt again because she likes to play things so safe. What should I do?

Read your question over again--you answered your own question. Move on, she's not interested in you but likes the attention she gets and likes to know someone has feelings for her even if she doesn't return those feelings (its a confidence booster) which is why she kept trying to get in contact with you after she rejected you; she wanted to string you along. If she had feelings for you, she would act on them. Find another girl!

Tell her that you can't bear to be friends with her right now because it hurts too much. Then you can move on and find other people to hang out with (but stop ignoring her if she talks to you first--it's immature). She needs to know that you need some time to recover because you've been hurt (and that maybe one day when you recover you would be interested in her friendship again), so she doesn't give you up as a jerk, but gives you space. God bless.

You have to do what is best for you, not her. If it hurts you to just be friends with her, then you need to end the friendship. My ex and I just broke up after 3 years together. I'm seeing someone new and I would like to still be friends with my ex, but he cannot accept that. He says it hurts too much to try to be "just friends" with someone he loves. I respect and understand that. Yes, I'll miss him, but that's just the way it has to be.

Just cut it off completely, because the friendship is already lost anyway. You'll find someone else who will value your friendship and fall in love with you at the same time.

listen to linkin park music! but seriously, i think it would work out if u two stopped talking to each other, u don't want to end up hating her. So this temporary not talking is for the best. Just tell her that.

Dude you're overreacting, first you should be friends with her and sure you are going to feel hurt if she rejected you but doesn't mean you still can't be friends with her
Secondly I know you're hurt but there could be another girl you like very much
Thirdly, you might regret not being her friend

Give yourself some more time to get over it. Perhaps in the future you could resume your friendship, but now it's too raw.
Don't torture yourself over her/this. Move on, as it sounds like you're doing.
