Its a great site, and as for where you want it i see most girls with tattoos on there lower back, legs, ankles.

As others have said if you're asking here, you're probably not ready.That being said, I got my first one at 17 and its still my favorite 7 years and a bunch of tattoos later. Now some tattoo suggestions - "Thug Life" across your abdomen, like Tupac (do 16 year olds remember him, or am I starting to get old?) Maybe a teardrop next to your eye or a spiderweb on your elbow, always sure to be conversation starters since every idiot thinks they know what those mean. 3 dots in a triangle between thumb and forefinger is another good one.

Don't get a tattoo when youre 16. You will regret it, especially if you don't even know what you want! At any age, a tattoo should have SOME meaning and be a long process to come up with, not something you ask random people about online!
I don't mean to go off on you but tattoos should be very personal and meaningful to me. I mean who wants to be another girl with a butterfly on her lower back??

if you want a tattoo that bad but don't know what you want your not ready to get one...you should pick something out and like it for over a year b4 you get it done! i was allowed to get a tattoo at 15 but the ones i picked out between 15 and 18 when i really got my tattoo are alot different i think you should wait til your 18
no one can pick your tattoo out for you!

I have to agree with what most people say, if you are 16 and have to ask what to get then you shouldn't get one yet. Watch Maimi Ink sometime, their show is really great and nowone gets a tattoo just because. This one mane got one of a dragonfly because after he accidently ran over his son and killed him a dragonfly landed on him and that was his sons favorite insect so he though that was his sons way of forgiving him. Other times people get portraits of siblings or family who passed away. Some people get really pretty tattoos to cover up ugly scars they got from cutting them selves or something and this is their way of starting over. I honestly don't think you should get a tattoo just for the hay of it, then it is jsut some ink on your body, unlike most tattooos which are ways of forgiving, moving on, remebering, etc.

Honestly... you shouldnt get a tattoo unless you are absolutely postive of what you want. You want the tattoo to be more than ink on your body; you want it to actually mean something to you. Really, in ten years you will most likely regret the random permanant tattoo on your body suggested by people on Yahoo Answers.

They allow that at 16???? My goodness me, I would never allow that. I have 5, but I researched what I wanted for a long time, I spent hours and hours looking at images and visiting decent tattoo parlours, if you do not know what you want then wait til you do.

Seriously. If you have to ask on here, then don't get one just yet. Tattoos are for life. I had completely different taste in tattoos when I was 16, compared to now (18)
Its your decision. Make sure its the right one.

I have four: on my calf, the back of my neck, my shoulder and my breast...My daddy always said:
first if you want it now, when you can't without parental permission, you will want it when you can have it legally on your own.
Second, don't get anything that you can't hide when you need to hide it.
Third, don't get anything anyway that when you're 70 yrs old and everything is sagging south that that dragon isn't gonna turn into a really long weiner dog.
