Most of the modern Laws are created on the base of Christian moral. If there were no Law Enforcement Agencies would nonbelievers have any moral or they would simply go around raping everything that moves and killing others for fun etc? What would be stopping us from destroying each other as we are perfectly evolved killing machines?

Good my dear but who told you what’s good and what’s wrong.
Few thousand years ago it was OK to slam the women you like in the head and take her. In Roman time it was just normal to abuse children. Didn’t we morally „evolve“or you simply believe we are just a pack of wolfs with mobile phones. OK I know some of us will never morally evolve and if someone is presenting himself as religious and moral it does not necessarily mean he is. Forget my question, let’s just live like technologically advanced animals and erase words like mercy, love from our dictionaries and use cruelty and mating instead. Half of the world is starving anyway let the stupid sister Teresa deal with them.

Actually, our laws are based on the first known written law, written as cursings of those who would break it by the Babylonian King Hammurabi ([1795-1750 BC]). The written law he establish out date the earliest writings of the Judaic writings (which of course predated the Christian writings) by 225 years (the earliest Yiddish writings being 1525 BC). And the religion of those days was FAR different from Christianity today, and the morals were very different, i.e. multiple wives, stoning adulturers, etc.

It's really sad that you think people need direct orders from a deity to have empathy or compassion or the basic ethics that help society get along. Frankly I think that speaks volumes about you.

"Moral certainty is always a sign of cultural inferiority. The more uncivilized the man, the surer he is that he knows precisely what is right and what is wrong. All human progress, even in morals, has been the work of men who have doubted the current moral values, not of men who have whooped them up and tried to enforce them. The truly civilized man is always skeptical and tolerant."

~ H. L. Mencken, Minority Report (1956)

First off, we kill and destroy more then other animals, so we aren't exactly the more moral animal. Our morals are a result of us being a social animal, and not independent. For example, wolfs live in packs as a way for better survival. But this is not evolution, it is social interaction and anthropology.

For survival of the species purposes we can not go around killing people...

But I understand your question is based on "on what moral absolute standard" do non believers ground their actions upon if one persons opinion is no greater than anothers (sadist vs. decent) and it's just subjective

lol

Who says we're "civilized"? Look at the things we do to each other. The only thing thats really changed is our technology level.

Edit: Allen, evolution is NOT about morality. Seriously, do you Christians have a brain in that head of yours?
