I asked, who married Adam & Eve since there was no Priest or Pasta around? Paper wasnt around then & there is NO proof of a marriage certificate anywhere. How could they "already be married"? Does that mean that, just because ive been with my boyfriend for 3yrs now, we're already married? How could Cod have married them? Did he have a magic license or did he make the rules up as he went? How did Cod know what to say & do?

There were only 2 humans on earth. They didn't need a certificate to proove it because there were just the 2 of them. There wasn't a democracy yet - there wasn't the necessity of proof. When God made Eve, he told Adam - here's you're girl, now get over the loneliness.
And PS - in some states(US), if you live with your partner long enough, you have a "common law" marriage.

Your use of the word "Cod" is offensive, just so you know.

My personal interpretation of the bible is that in the eyes of God, you are married when you have sex with a person. "The 2 become one flesh". That being the case, Adam and Eve were married when they consumated their relationship. That theory might also explain why God doesn't want us to have premarital sex, especially with multiple partners. I don't make up the rules - that's just my view.

I realize this question is half-joking, but I think you have a really good point here. At no place in the Bible, Old Testament or New, does "marriage" bear the slightest resemblance of the institution of marriage today. Today it's a societal establishment regulated by our particular governments. How can we base right living and standards of "fornication" based on that when the writers of the Bible are talking about something completely different?

You take vows to be married in the eyes of God...the piece of paper is for people here on earth! : ) And you don't need a third person to make a promise to each other and God so the priest or preacher is just ceremony.

Well in regards to your boy friend it could be that you are married in common law depending on where you live.

From a legal perspective, you and your boyfriend might very well be married. Check the common law marriage codes for your locale.

Yep you two are married.

And should a break up every occur there will be a vicious divorce to prove it was a marriage.

Who gets to stay and who has to leave with their things.

Whose things are whose.

Forget the things, how will the emotions work!

God united them together. He created marriage.

BTW, you misspelled God two times.

Genesis 2

22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

23 The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman,'
for she was taken out of man."

24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
