Good morning...You are referring to the Mayan prediction I assume. The Mayans were great people of their era and also very well known astrologers. When reading on the prediction that the world (as they knew it) was coming to an end, one has to remember that the Mayans wouldn't have known about our technology of today's world. The Mayans however predicted of mass destruction such as earthquakes, floods and eruptions due to the alignment of the planets and I assume the moon also. Now we have had already devastating earthquakes in fact Peru I believe just experienced a terrible earthquake. We have had hurricanes and Tsunami's that have wiped out countries and extreme damage to the states but we have survived. We have lost millions of people which is a very sad loss but earth has survived these acts by 'mother nature'. With this in mind, if the Mayans were correct in their predictions, I believe with the technology of today and the organizations and the countries that assist those in need when occurrences such as these happen that the earth will survive again. I'm not going to dwell on a prediction that may or may not happen. If the world ends in 2012, what can one do? I mean think realistically. If it ends then that will be the end of all mankind and living things and no one will be able to stop it. Have a great day!

just because the earth will be inline with the galactic centre doesnt mean anything.

in the jewish Talmud they say the world will end in the jewish year 6000. its 5767 at the moment, but they have missed 163 years, and also confused 215 years as well as other little time frames. (more accurate than mayan)

we are closer to the end than you can possibly imagine.

"He is coming on the clouds of heaven". Not to die on the cross again but to "strike down the nations, and rule them with an iron scepter". He will "tread the winepress of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty" "(rev 19:15).

This world will never end. Christ will rule and reign for 1000 years. No one knows the exact date or time of Christ's return, however He did give us signs to look for. A seven year peace contract with Israel, will be the start of the tribulation period. Un-believers will also have the sign of the coming Rapture of Gods church. We don't know the 'Time' but we do know the 'Times' and we are in them, the last days are here and God will come take us to be with Him soon. 'In the blink of an eye'...God Bless You....Peace.

No.. Simply because the thought of the world ending is a speculation as to why the Mayan calendar just stopped. There was no reason given as to the end of the Mayan Calender and so people just made one up.

Let me tell you something: All Good Things End... Such as the Mayan Calendar! :)

Nobody knows or can calculate when the world will end. We just see in our surroundings the increasing rate of disasters, of wars, of society disorders.... These are signs of end times. Read the book of REVELATION found in the New Testament of the BIble.

No, no man knows the day or hour when the rapture will happen, after that there will be 7 years of great tribulation. The next thing will be the millennium and then the judgment, then the heaven and earth destroyed and a new heaven and new earth made .

no, we do not know the day or hour of when the world is going to end, it might change for the better or worse ,but I don't believe it'll end.Even if you look at it from a scientific view they even say it could be another 1,000 + yrs before the Earth can be destroyed.
