Much, much more than just a feeling!
You really can't know unless you experience
it for yourslef - like taking the red pill in the Matrix story.
It goes well beyond any physical sense because
it is a spiritual sense. It is very unlike taking a drug
as well! There is absolutely nothing to compare it
to. It is called revelation. God's spirit is like no other
spirit, His voice like no other voice on the earth!
I am being sincere about this! Religion would
not have ever lasted as long as it has if this
was not true. Religion is imperfect because humanity
is imperfect, but that does not negate the need for
it - for searching God!
Yes, people have used religion, actually misused
it to gain very selfish ends like
we do with everything God has given including
science! There are so many very smart people
who can not deny that God exists. People that
deny God simply want self sufficiency which is a
dead-end pursuit in reality (a fake life like in the
Matrix) and they encourage others to
believe in self sufficiency as well - it works
to an extent but can never silence the truth
of God completely!
Good question! I think this is at the heart
of all the debates on R&S.

A belief in something equal to or greater than oneself is a basic human need. Even if you are an atheist, you still have faith that the people around you (equal to) exist, although you can't prove it. Belief in God has so much potential. It can be liberating, empowering, galvanizing. It can open one's heart to selfless feelings and a sense of the greater good. It can give a person a framework within which one's code of ethics and morals is built. Or, it can enslave and ensnare, bring suffering, violence, and hatred. Honestly, the value of God is both an internal and a social one. If a person's belief in God creates in that person the motivation to live a good life and create beauty in the world, then that belief is valuable to both that individual and the world. The wisest and most spiritual people I've ever met have all shared the understanding that, of all the billions of possibilities, the idea that there is a God is one. One out of billions and billions. True positive spirituality comes in intelligently accepting that you may be wrong, having faith that you can be right enough, and understanding that those standards apply to everyone.

It is faith and looking around us to see what the Lord has created for us.
It is like saying to the people that thought they seen the lock ness monster that it doesn't exist. Those people are going off from what they thought encountered. Even though there is no proof that the lock ness monster is real. Or even big foot for that matter.
Look around this earth could not have been created so perfectly for us to breath, eat and live on by a big bang. Common sense should tell you that. We didn't come from apes. Even if we did the apes wouldn't stop forming into humans. It just isn't going to happen .
For hard evidence there is none to support the facts either way. I just know from being alive that our God created the earth just for us to live.
If the big bang happened then why hasn't it happened on Mars or Jupiter?
We have the perfect body for making life. Scientist can't even come close to recreating the reproduction in humans.
We was put here on earth to serve God at our own will and reproduce life. We did have of this right.

When you first touch an electric fence do you see the electrical current? If you cannot see it how do you know it exists? When your life becomes constant "coincidence" you soon search for other explanations. When you get an answer to a question you have not verbalized, time and time again. If you can still use a portion of brain that has not been destroyed by the parasite and virus infested world system of thinking, You discover we live in a life with a whole lot more than what meets the eye.

Here I am. I am telling you that God exists. God the Father is the Supreme Being in whom I believe and whom I worship. He is the ultimate Creator, Ruler, and Preserver of all things. He is perfect, has all power, and knows all things.
The wicked are prone to “demand signs as a condition of belief” and that they “live by sensations,” whereas “disciples … walk and ‘overcome by faith,' accepting gratefully the evidence of things not seen which are true and using quietly God’s spiritual gifts”
I have come to know that the witness does not come by seeking after signs. It comes through fasting and prayer, through activity and testing and obedience.

I always ask how so many people can NOT believe in God.
I've found nothing in this world to be at odds with the existance of God.

You answered your own question. You have found nothing that tells you God is there. You have not had any experience in your life that makes you feel His presence.
Pretty simple.
A lot of us have, so please don't disregard our experiences just because you have not had such an experience.
