21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, 10 but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?'

23 Then I will declare to them solemnly, 'I never knew you. 11 Depart from me, you evildoers.'

In that verse Jesus clearly makes the distinction between him and God, his Lord, your Lord and Mine, he says :

but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

This is the truth even though you may not like it, Jesus is NOT God and he never claimed to be God.

The fact that the Christian god will abandon anyone on Judgement day really doesn't make him a kind, merciful, and benevolent God, now does it? It makes him sound more like the character Xerces in the movie, "300".

Not for nothing, but I think that this is an old, medieval idea, where they viewed the Christian god as cruel. Back then, they believed man was also born in sin. Since sex was a sin, and the baby was a product of that sin, the child was born a sinner.

Now, modern Christians picket abortion clinics to defend those "sinners", because they don't think it's conception was it's own fault.

What you just quoted, in essance, is an example of the scripture using "deterance" to keep it's followers from straying. The definition of deterance is to "keep people in line through force and fear", and people wonder why membership in the Christian church is declining.

The verses you quote do not in any way make a clear distinction.

“Not everyone ...”, allows for some to enter. Basic grammar will tell you as much.
Not every fan attending a baseball game will catch a baseball. That does not indicate no fan will catch a base ball.

Perhaps you should consider the words of Jesus:

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Note: “the beginning and the end”, also “the first and the last”

This is true, but many do not realize this. I don't even know if I'll "make it", but I have a strong hope, but my problem today is I am very bitter towards a certain race of people who keep hate going everyday here in America. I do have hate for them and it hurts to carry this heavy burden daily. I know no one is perfect including me quite obviously, but I can't seem to shake my hate for them. They caused hate at the inception of this country and just look today, because of them being around things are going backwards once again.

I do have much hate for bigot trash that created such havoc and slavery in this country. The lingering effects of this hate they caused won't ever go away. The haters have become the hated.

I have got to work on changing but only thru healing, prayer and study will I escape the hate I feel so deeply entrenched for them beasts in order to be worthy of the new system, God's kingdom after Armageddon.

Great point.

i've got continuously been an SDA Christian. i've got self assurance that Jesus died on the circulate, and that there is a Judgement day; teachings of The Bible. Jesus stated "Blessed are people who have self assurance, yet have not considered". that's taken from the context while one in each and every of his 12 disciples, Thomas, did no longer have self assurance that Jesus had risen from the grave. SDA Christians don't think in Afterlife. We have self assurance evil is destroyed while Jesus destroys all evil. some have self assurance in the "secret wrapture" while all who have self assurance in Jesus are taken as much as heaven and those classed as evil are left on earth for a 2nd probability. i do no longer in my opinion have self assurance this. while Jesus comes, "each and every eye shall see and each ear shall pay attention" he will come from the sky. i don't understand how that's physicall a threat, that's the place faith is supplied in. yet i additionally locate it real that Athiests seem to have extra faith than me. Believeing that each and every little thing you spot comes from "no longer something"? the place did the 1st cellular are available in? the place did the reproduction of the 1st cellular are available in? all of us have diverse finger prints - how is the a threat in evolution? If evolution replaced into to be real, then why is all and sundry so comparable? If it replaced into real, and that's a good sized if on my account, then does no longer there be some creature nevertheless in the flexibility of fixing right into a human from an ape?

John 14:1 "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

John 14:8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

John 5:21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. 22 The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

This passages deal with the judgment of the unsaved because Jesus never knew them. They claimed that the prophecies, deliverance or other mighty deeds done in the names of their gods as done in name of Jesus when they saw Jesus in person as God. The will of the Father is that all will come to the saving knowledge of His Son. They were not saved so they did not fulfil the will of the Father. Jesus will never say to those that are saved and who are His brothers and sisters that He never knows them.

Here are two Scriptures to show that Jesus is God the I AM:

Ex 3:14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

You know. Jesus isnt the be-all, Santa Clause and the tooth fairy have issues too. You dont hear the whole world crapping on about them! Favoritism I say! Do yourself a favour.. Live a little, read a Stephen King book or something. Get a life, and find some OTHER friends in the REAL WORLD.

How absolutely blind these responses are. It's rather sad actually. The verse is plain and very clear. What's so hard to interpret here? Then again, the Bible was written by men and so some places people take it literally and others they go off philosophizing....
Live and let live then... we shall see when the Final Day is upon us.

O.k....this is where I see someone trying to make a statement!
Not a very good one may I say....

You use the word 'abandon"....too lightly....you need to understand what it is Jesus was saying :

HERE IT IS; That many people will say they did a lot of good
but really they missed the mark!

They did not LOVE JESUS WITH ALL Their HEART!

That is what he was saying....they did know him, but He is saying....its not enough to drive out demons,or prophesy?
....
HE would rather...you NOT do that, and just LOVE HIM...
Do not he is saying...make yourself look GOOD, to others,
do Not make people think you love me......

LOVE ME! and that will be enough....Because humans always want to have others think, they are good....Thats what it means...

Anyone can make it look as if they do love Christ....but,if
you fail to pray...and ...read the Bible....and seek Christ, then
all the other is useless...Thats what those scriptures mean.

Well now, here is the thing. You are taking bits of the bible out of context and trying to use it to determine the result. This verses you were using (22 & 23) are what he was saying to Charlatans and men who were attempting to use the faith as a mean sof money making.

So I will say this unto you: Those who do good in Evil's Name are still doing acts of good, but those that do Evil in Good's name are still evil.

So remember to misquote the bible to make it say what you want it to say is evil as well. Take the entirety of the Chapter and read it.
