So what? She is not immodest and whilst I tolerate the Burka I still regard women as mugs or slaves when they wear them because it gives thier menfolk too much power over them.

It is however badly drafted because the advert does not appear to be able to connect with Muslim women. The lady concerned looks too "WASP" I do not think the Stars and Stripes helps in this and consequently the advert misses it's target. It is for too obviously properganda. i think very few Muslim women would take this seriously

I think its up to them to decide, freedom of choice and all that, plus she doesn't look much like she comes from a predominantly Muslim country to me . . .? could be a bit confusing.

many do not understand and it has been said time and time again teh burqa is not a compulsion, and i personally admiore those who wear it. at first i used to think to myself OMG i would never wear a burqa, i wear a headscarf nd thats it. after a while i was recently given a very good example.

women are like diamonds, we hide diamonds from theives in teh deepest corners, similarly we should hide our selves from theives i.e other men looking at us in the wrong way. yet we show off teh diamonds to whom we want , those that will not steal it , as we show ourselves to our husbands .

Ironically reminiscent of Nazi/Commie propaganda

Think:

"White Western Women are best!"

So, it is not YOUR place to decide what is 'suitable' for muslim women. It is not the Taliban's place to decide either.

It is muslim women's place to decide.
