Is saying the words, "I believe in God" enough?

Satan has blinded people, so that they do not see the truth. 2 Cor. 4:4: “The god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.”
1 Cor. 10:20: “The things which the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God.” There is only one true God, and if you are not serving him, then you might as well be serving the demons.
Matt. 7:22, 23: “Many will say to me [Jesus Christ] in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.” Even professing to be a Christian is not a guarantee that we are acceptably serving the true God. Some have said that the various religions all represent different ways of presenting religious truth.
But a comparison of their teachings and practices with the Bible indicates, rather, that the diversity of religions is because people have become followers of men instead of listening to God. It is noteworthy that, to a large extent, teachings they hold in common, but that differ from the Bible, originated in ancient Babylon.
Mark 7:6, 7: “He [Jesus] said to them [the Jewish Pharisees and scribes]: ‘Isaiah aptly prophesied about you hypocrites, as it is written, “This people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far removed from me. It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach as doctrines commands of men.”’” Regardless of whom a group profess to worship, if they hold to doctrines of men instead of the inspired Word of God, their worship is in vain. So we each need to ask ourselves - do we worship the doctrines of men? Or do we worship the only true God?

I do not care what religion a person is! Even if they just believe in a higher power to me makes them a believer of some type of religion. Read on here once, you can give religious text to 3 different people and might get 3 different meanings. So bless everyone of every religion! As far as I believe in God enough---I do believe you need to practice what you believe,

No. Believing in Jehovah God is not enough. You have to prove it by attending the meetings at the Kingdom Hall, read the Bible day and night, pray to Jehovah God day and night, and be active in the field ministry.

The bible makes it clear that there are to be no other Gods put up before the true God.

In other words , only worshiping God according to Bible truth will be acceptable to him.

For example.... a person may confess to be a worshiper of God but they take drugs , go to war , gamble and cheat and steal.
This might be acceptable behavior in their church , but would God accept their worship.

Absolutely not.

To be acceptable to god you must be clean and worship in spirit and truth.
You can not be a follower of God and Christ Jesus if you don't follow !!! .what is taught in the Bible.

Examine your beliefs and religion to SEE if it truly does please God.

Yes, it is of the utmost importance which God YOU serve.
It could mean salvation, or destruction.
No, "as long as we have some religion" u said.
And No again.
You have to live accordingly.
NOT just giving God lip service.

No it's not. If you believe in God and not a way of life then what's the point? The idea here is to believe in one God and to live your life according to what has been taught so you won't repeat the same mistakes and those before you.

Believe in God is starting journey of knowing God. If one get stuck with "believe in God" journey of knowing keeps revolving around that belief and knowing of God never happens.

One may exercise one's own choice. All religious people exercise choice of revolving around a belief.

No.
To serve the true God, a person must know who he is and know what his requirements are.
It is not our standards that are of importance, it is his standards.
