You better believe it. It needs to happen anyway because there are just way too many average f*ck ups running around this planet supporting George Bush. Once the human population of the world has been wittled down to a few million hopefully some decent people will take control and make some new rules.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).
The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.
Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

I have to agree with granny goose. I have read the book she mentions, and let me tell you, IT IS AN EYE OPENER!!!
Armageddon is ALREADY OCCURING as we speak (or type).
The “battle” between good (doing unto others as you would have them do unto you) and evil (not doing unto others) takes place within each of us. This is our own conscience. This is where WE alone have to make the many choices about how we are going to treat each other on large and small scales alike.
This battlefield—yes, my own “Armageddon” is often a tough one for me.
You can continue reading for the full explanation on pgs 368-371 of the book. It is free at the site below.

Megedo is a village northeast of Jerusalem. That's where the name of Armageddon comes from in the Revelation of John of Patmos. It's been conqured by many armies over the centuries because it is on the key route between Egypt, Lebanon and Syria.

The next thing to go is the mosque of the dome of the rock and then it's suppose to herald the coming of Armageddon. So, we just need to watch for that to happen. Now all I'm saying is that this is what is predicted. I'm not saying anything bad about anybody OK?

A little history first:
The word Armageddon is derived from "Mount Megiddo. This was the ancient site of the Great Battle of Megiddo. This battle occurred circa 609 BC, between the armies of Egypt and the armies of the kingdom of Judah.
The Egyptians and the Assyrians were allied together to fight the powerful Babylonians who were threatening to take over that part of the world. On this particular occasion, as the Egyptians went forth to aid the Assyrians, they were blocked by the armies of Judah at a place called Via Maris (the "Way of the Sea") near Mount Megiddo ("Armageddon"). the armies of the kingdom of Judah confronted the Egyptians at this particular spot, not because Judah was allied with Babylon, but because the two found themselves face to face.
John was very close to Jesus while he lived on the earth. Jesus knew of the biblical prophecies concerning his own mission. Of course, with Jesus present, John was able to gain an insight into things that others did not understand. John borrowed from a prophecy of Isaiah to illustrate this "place" (figurative) where the "battle" between good (doing unto others as you would have them do unto you) and the evil (not doing unto others) takes place.
This encounter between these two armies is significant to each of us because we have the choice between doing unto others. That's where we become the warrior. Every battle of us as warriors is met with confused noise: do we hear the cry of the world, "hate your enemies, do battle with them, ignore the poor and the hungry, worldly desires, lusts of our flesh, etc. etc." or do we hear the quiet peace that comes from loving our neighbors as ourselves.
This is the true battle Armageddon and it is being waged today.
From the book, 666 The Mark of America Seat of the Beast comes this quote: "As the world wars amongst itself for riches, glory, materialism, etc., the 'still small voice,' or the 'light of Christ,' blocks our actions, usually for just a few moments, before we disregard it and forget about the peace it could bring. .....One will soon recognize that those who are the most at 'peace' and do not fight on the battlefield, are the few who love all others unconditionally according to the commandments of Christ."
This book has had a profound effect on me as I've learned the simple truths taught in the book of Revelations. It is now available as a FREE download, too.

3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
the war of ezekiel is soon to be here. iran, russian and the islamic nations will expect to come upon israel and take booty but will be stopped..
