I realize USA is the best country in the world, but is this the type of people we want moving here?

Isn't this prostituting your body for US citizenship though?

They're evil demon incarnates, who care more about themselves than the laws of this country, or the country herself! If they loved America, they would respect her, but they're not, by breaking her law, and caring not a wit that they did it!

Well...I have a couple of comments on this....
The people who knowingly solicit a person to marry them, by offering money, cars, whatever solely for the purpose of obtaining US citizenship need to be caught and deported. However, there are situations where two people get married based on the need for legal documentation for one of them to remain in the US, but they do also have a legitimate relationship. I commented on this a while back that it was unfair to essentially force two people to get married in order to be able to stay together, but it is a choice a lot of people have had to make. I do not fault people who marry for citizenship when they have a legitimate relationship already and are just trying to be able to stay together.
As far as people who would marry a foreign person solely for citizenship, and accept money or whatever in exchange for it, yes, they are nothing but prostitutes, and deserve the same treatment as the person who bought them. They give legitimate relationships a bad name, and have made the process even more difficult for the people who actually love each other.

First of all it is against the law and not likely to happen as that is not a way to legalize anymore. Most people do not realize that if you are not legal getting married does not automatically confer citizenship to you. If the person is illegal they still have to leave and petition in their country and sometimes are granted a waiver, but this is rare, usually they can receive a punishment of up to 10 years of denial of reentry for being here illegal in the first place and then they can reimmigrate under a visa petition through their marriage.
If they committed any crimes they are not qualified under any process, not even marriage.
The law changed in 1996 and basically made it all but impossible to marry whomever you choose without waiting an eternity to change the status of your spouse. It is rare to have someone marry because of wanting to change thier immigration status immigration checks into it too well. They show up at any given time to your home to see if you are indeed married. They only decided ours was legitimate when I came to an appointment 7 months pregnant after that we had no more trouble. I have been married for nearly 13 years and my husband who was already legal just became a citizen in January of this year.

To the Summermoon whatever poster who said it doesn't happen....

LOL. Funniest thing I have seen on here in weeks. Sheer, utter, uncontrolled, psychotic drug induced FANTASY to think it doesn't happen. It does. People think they can wait out the time restrictions, file to speed it up, etc.

OK, what do I think? I hate it. The reality is it is against the law. But so is being illegal. Do I prefer they have a sham marriage to being illegal? Nope.

I'd rather neither happen.

Not much, but I think more of them than I do someone who is an American and marries to allow an alien to become a citizen. They are traitor.

Yes, this does happen. These people are doing just as bad as illegals coming here illegally. Our country doesn't need either one

That doesn’t bother me as much as people sneaking in to our country just to have a baby here – Gee, wonder why they do that?

it makes criminals out of both parties, a joke out of the institution of marriage and any one caught knowingly participating should have their citizenship revoked and if you were already a citizen then you should be exiled.
