There are two main types of Deists.

1) One who rejects Revelation, that is, that God can meaningfully speak to mankind through visions or holy books. Instead, God's existence is shown through nature.

2) The rejection of an active God. In short, God created all the laws of nature, and let them unwind naturally and he never interferes. This is sometimes referred to as a "Clockmaker God" who carefully winds everything then lets nature take its course. The polar opposite to this kind of Deism is a God of Providence, that is, an active God who takes an interest in the affairs of this world, and will sometimes interfer.

Deist's believe that God is an undefined Source of Creation to the all and the everything.

God is within and around everything and everyone. It is unlikely that any one person or one group of people, could know everything about everything that there is to know. Nature and logic and experience teach us that there is always more to know about the Divine Creator.

We maintain open minds and we agree to disagree with opinions that do not mimic our own.

When you look at nature and the constant change of life, when science is always correcting their previously proven theories....a Deist will see an ever changing and an always awe inspiring universe.

Deism is a religious philosophy and movement that became prominent in Great Britain, France, and the United States in the 17th and 18th centuries and continues to this day. Deism differs from theism in that according to Deism God does not interfere with human life and the laws of the universe.

Deists typically reject supernatural events (prophecy, miracles) and divine revelation prominent in organized religion, along with holy books and revealed religions that assert the existence of such things. Instead, Deists hold that religious beliefs must be founded on human reason and observed features of the natural world, and that these sources reveal the existence of one God or supreme being.
