There are no contradictions in the written Word of God. When you really know Him and have a personal relationship with Him then, you understand the meaning of the scriptures. Not until then.

The Bible is God's written Word to us. The written Word is God breathed. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.

“Above all you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:20-21. (New International Version)

Breakdown of the Bible
36 human authors inspired entirely by God over 1600 years.
66 separate books

39 Old Testament
Genesis- The creation of the world, sin, flood and birth of Israel
Exodus to Esther- History of the nation of Israel
Job to Proverbs- the books of poetry and wisdom
Isaiah to Malachi- Prophecy or foretelling of the future events to come.

27 New Testament
Matthew to John - Four Gospels representing the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ now with all authority in Heaven and earth.
Acts- Birth of the Church (The Bride of Christ)
Romans to Jude - Letters to the Churches
Revelations - The ultimate future plans for: The Church, Heaven, Hell, a New Heaven and a New Earth.

I don't think there are any 'contradictions' in the sceptics annotated bible for which there is not at least one logical explanation that solves what at first appeared to be a problem.

Most of these so called contradictions seem more like misunderstandings on the part of the reader.

The Jews have had 4,000 - 5,000 years to study the Old Testament and the Christians 2,000 years to examine the New Testament and if there were any insurmountable contradictions those books would have been discarded long ago.

It's to their credit that they have kept them exactly the way they are instead of trying to re-write them.

There are plenty of contradictions in the bible, but that does not necessarily take away from the root of its meaning. You must remember that the book was written by different people over a long period of time so contradictions are inevitable as everyone had different recollections or opinions on the matters contained within.
Saying that there are NO contradictions in the bible shows that you simply have not read it to analyze it, instead you turn to it in good faith as one is supposed to read it.

And of course scientists contradict one another, that's what makes it fun!

Regarding the bible, how can you have contradictions in a source that is the only source of its kind? You have nothing to compare the bible to, so obviously it can't have any contradictions. But it is this same reason that you can't argue the validity of the bible, because it is the only source of its kind!

First of all I know that you have too many different bibles who all contradict each other and you don't know which one is the right one. Look for your own knowledge
Second thing is that who are you to say that Jesus will forgive you for not believing? Did he tell you that? It is God only who forgives our sins nobody else -According to Quran which we know is for sure is the true word of God- and he can forgive any sin you can imagine the only unforgivable sin is disbelieving in Him almighty or associating with him other deities.

The new testament is a direct contradiction to the old. in the old testament god says an eye for an eye but in the new jesus says to turn the other cheek. i was once a catholic who led with blind faith. however not even my priest could answer some of the questions that the bible raised so i looked at other religions to try and decipher my own. it was through vigilant study that i found many of the answers i seek. perhaps you should pray to god to open your eyes

If you say there are no contradictions in the bible, that proves that you haven't read the book.

Did you know there are many contradictions in the bible and that's the reason there's now over 3500 Christian sects and counting?

Oh dear - another misguided fool making Christians look stupid.

Try equating the old testament with the command "Thou shalt not kill"! There are lots of contradictions.

When scientists discuss things they do so with open minds and thus there can be differences of opinion but scientific laws are accepted by everyone in the field.

Sadly you are displaying a very closed mind!!!

When you have finished your ego trip please consider the damage you are doing and pray for forgiveness.

To the atheists and Christian bashers out there please recognise that whilst there are many misguided people calling themselves Christian like this one there are millions of good sensible Christians out there so please do not judge all Christians by this person!!!
