Yes, there are dogs that are trained to detect things such as seizures, epilepsy and now cancer as well. George, a retired bomb dog and his handler in conjunction with the University of Florida, was trained to detect cancer. His nose was so precise that he detected cancer on a friend of his handler before medical testing could. The most advanced tests could not detect it, yet, the dog did. It was found out later that the friend had cancer and was able to treat it and survive, only because of George's nose.

most of the canines try this via instinct & others are taught it. i don't have faith it to be breed particular. A canines experience of scent is amazingly very reliable & can sniff out something that this is taught to smell out. there grew to become right into a nursing living house that had a cat & that cat could sleep with the guy who grew to become into closest to loss of existence. I hate to work out herding canines interior the city. that's no longer what they have been initially bred for. I hate to work out the bully breeds as pets, they weren't initially bred to be pets. Too many persons are finding out on pets via the way they supply the impact of being & no longer quite a number of the rest. I won't have a Chihuahua nor will I ever have a Bully Breed or any of the smashed in face canines. Nor could I certainly have a Husky interior the warmth we've here.

They have been studying dogs who sense seizures in epileptics before they come on. And there are also tests being done on dogs detecting cancer.

I know one person who bought a bloodhound for her autistic grandchild. She just wanted the assurance of mind that the dog could help find the child if he wandered.

Dogs are amazing creatures. Society doesn't' respect them enough.

I'm glad your wrist is ok. I pray it doesn't come back. Sometimes they can give B12 injections for those, and sometimes they can just drain them with an open hypodermic. In olden times they would hit them with a large flat board or ruler to just pop them.

Researchers say, that dogs can be more accurate, than current Cancer tests and represent a breakthrough in Cancer detection. If you own a dog, your pet is paying closer attention to you, your state of mind, and even your health, than you pay yourself. Dogs have also been known, to bring people out of Comas. Pretty amazing huh!!!

I believe it. My Chinese Crested knows when I am hurting, and he will lay where I hurt and act like a heating pad.. if Im crampy, he will lay at my belly.. when my feet hurt, he lays at my feet, etc.
