ive been granted for visa (child visa),as they instruct i need to submit my passport to them bcoz I can not go the embassy personally,I submitted my passport in the courier of the embassy last august 08,07 but untill now my passport never return to me.
how long usually it takes?

You do realise that depending on wherever the world you are it probably takes 2-3 days for the postage. The Australians seem are pretty quick when it comes to customer service (especially for registrations/passports all that sorts) so they probably take 5-10 days processing timesfrom when the paperwork is complete (you may be able to check this with the embassy or call them).

PS You've only waited 7 working days. Give it at least 2-3 weeks.

This depends on the number of visa applicants and the availability of processors at the Embassy if a lot apply for visa then it takes longer because of the implimentation first come first serve basis but if there are few applicants that would take about a week. If you are in doubt better contact them if you have all the requirements.

get in touch with them to see what the problem is , but you are saying august 7th ?right ? so it only has been 7 days as of now...... give them a couple of days , did you pay for safe return of your passport as well ?

Two to three weeks is the period for processing the visa.
