. . . does God condemn us so badly all throughout the bible? Our hearts are deceitful above all things, we're evil, yet can give good gifts to our kids . . . we're ALL disgusting sinners, who need someone else's blood all over us, just so God can look at us . . .

Does God hate himself that much or what? After all, we're created in his image yet he despises us unless we're covered in blood- the blood of his own son, no less.

Man I hate weird christian stuff. I hate it when they try to ramble off in crazy bible talk. I'll tell you why I think God condemns "us" so badly in the bible. The bible was written by the Jews for the Jews right, and they were the ones who crucified Jesus. The authors were trying to tell THEM how crappy they were; not us thank goodness.

I have to add something. We're not all disgusting sinners dangit. Have you done disgusting things? Prolly not. Take a little kid for example. Are they capable of disgusting things? No they're little angels. They're people too right? I'm sure God doesn't think they are disgusting dude.

When God was creating, he had a standard. After every thing he created, he would sit back and 'see that it was Good.' This is God's standard. Good. Adam and Eve were perfect, therefore up to standard. Decendants of Adam and Eve however were not up to standard, but God did not condemn them for it. He knows we are vulnerable to wickedness just as we are capable of great acts of love. His son was sent down to show God and the millions of angels and all of humanity, that a human being CAN and WILL be obedient to God's rule. Jesus proved Satan wrong. The blood that is spoken of in the bible is symbolic. It means that Jesus's blood is so valuable, it can save Anyone before and after him from death. So when we die, we are only sleeping awaiting resurrection. God wants us to understand that without him, this is what the world is like. He despises none of his children, or sends them to 'hell' as some religions would have you believe. He is a loving but firm father, showing and teaching us rather than judging us.

God created us in his image, meaning that we were made to have the same mannerisms as him. We get jealous, and so does God. We get angry, and so does God. But our jealously, anger, etc. were corrupted when we sinned against God by eating of the forbidden fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Because we did this, we all became disgusting sinners. You ask if God hates himself since he made us in his image. Well, no he doesn't. He doesn't hate the sinner, but he hates the sin. He hates the corruption that we have done to ourselves, but he doesn't hate his creations at all.

And in order to fix what we did to ourselves, he gave his only son so that, through him, we might become pure once again.

Because everybody has turned their backs upon Him - the One that made them!

Whwn you have kids and they ignore you and shame you, you will get a taste of how He feels.

Jesus DIED for you - LIVE for Him!
