First of all, Christians compare murderers, thiefs, liars and etc., to homosexuality! Can't Christians see the difference? You must actually murder, steal, or tell a lie to become one of those. But you do not need to have sex in order to be homosexual. Even if you remain a virgin for your entire life, you still are a gay if you're attracted to the same sex. A monk could stay a virgin for his entire life, but he's still a heterosexual. And as a side note does homosexuality harm someone else like murdering, stealing and lying do? Is there a reward to being gay like their is a reward to steal something?

Secondly (which proves you're uneducated), you Christians say that, "if homosexuality is in the genes, why is not extinct yet since men can't have childrent". It's not necessary for your parents to be gay for you to be born gay, duh! Is it necessary that disabled children must also have disabled parents? Not everything you're born with resembles your parents, get a clue!

Not all christians say or believe the things you have quoted.

Your first point, about comparing sins, is that all sin is black, there is no gray area. Sin is sin is sin. And some people believe the levitical laws against men having sex with other men is a sin.

Secondly, if something is genetic, it is carried through the genes by definition. Therefore it is somewhere in the genes of the parents.

Mind you, I don't believe any of the things you wrote about, and I'm not a christian, but you are attacking people and coming across very foolishly. Accusing people of being uneducated about things that you clearly do not understand is just stupid.

You really have to look at the big picture here, many people especially in religious aspects can take things a little to far, you have to watch out for the fanatics who try to speak for all people rather than only for themselves as they should. You have a lot of underlying hatred for persons you seem to know little about. Yes, there are some out there who allow their religion to rule their lives and moral standards rather than their own free thought and experience as would be more accepting of certain social tendencies. The fact is, homosexuality is nothing new and this problem has faced societies since the beginning. Therefore it is not a question of education or ignorance, simply a question of environment. We live in a world in which cultures that differ from our own are interacting with us on a much larger and frequent basis than ever before. People fear things that are different and will use the powers set before them to change or eliminate those differences. For most people, religion is empowering and gives unity to a fear or misunderstanding as a way to control or punish those who sway from the rest of the pack. A person is smart, but people are stupid.

So, serial killers, kleptomaniacs, compulsive liars and etc., (to use your atrocious grammar) are never born that way?

And I have yet to see any conclusive study that homosexuality is in fact genetic. And even if one did come out, then it would have to be validated by other studies before it could be taken seriously by the scientific community.

And as a side note, the issue is not who it does or does not harm with Christianity. The issue is that it is patently stated throughout the entire Bible that it violates the will of God. If you interpret that as uneducated or ignorant, then that is your opinion.

Granted, some Christians are uneducated, as are some atheists, Buddhists, Muslims, Baha'is, Jews, agnostics, etc etc. There are uneducated people in all societies.

However, being a Christian doesn't mean that by default a person is uneducated. Look at Hans Kung, Pope John Paul II, Dr King, were these people uneducated? Hardly. I mean, Dr King earned a PhD.

Please do not lump Christianity together with ignorance, just as you don't like homosexuality lumped together with violent crime. Be more than that, be smarter than that.

Do a little research. Not all Christians have a problem with homosexuals. There are a number of churches that have made great efforts to reach out to the gay community, and treat gays with dignity and respect. The Episcopal Church, the United Church of Christ, the Unitarian Universalists, Unity, and other denominations are quite accepting of gays. As for being uneducated, quite a few of my Christian friends have postgraduate degrees, and I'll be working on one myself soon. Don't like being stereotyped? Then stop stereotyping.

nicely . . . I do conform to an volume. There are some questions the place Biblical rates are desirable. and that i tend to study the verses published regardless of their relevance. yet maximum questions tend to be deeper. as an occasion, God condemning homosexuality. particular, you are able to tutor verses that state he does. yet maximum tend to ask your self WHY God could punish them, incredibly having been their writer. often times the verses are desirable, yet that doesn't recommend they're continuously sufficient. I frequently choose to understand extra. YOUR concept technique. Why do you compromise with it. or whether you compromise with it. that is in basic terms no longer regarded upon the comparable by ability of believers because of fact the Bible is super-unfold at face fee. that is in the Bible, it might desire to be real - that is all that concerns. it is not proper if that is evil, or unjust, or sadistic, or barbaric, or nonsensical . . . that is actuality and God's observe and can be recognized as such. that is what I dislike. while human beings can't provide a reason different than "Bible says so." while human beings do no longer think of for themselves. while there is not any inquiry or probing.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, you have yours and your accusers have theirs. This is life, not everyone will be on your side. Logic has nothing to do with it because we are all just people unless you are a robot A.I. Everyone behaves differently, some will hate you just because they feel like it, others because you look strange to them etc etc.
Take some responsibility for your actions, no matter what religion you are from... people will aways be people my friend. Forgive and forget, you only get about 75 years so live free but all will be judged at the end so use your time wisely.

God bless you my friend.

who said that in order to be homosexual you have to have sex? I'm christian and i don't believe in that.. i believe you can be homosexual even if you don't have sex. but homosexuals CAN be compared to murderers, thief's, and liars etc. they all sin!!! that's why it says in the bible:

I Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

An NO homosexuality is not in anyone's genes.. no one is born gay.. they make the choice themselves... depending on their influences growing up. so don't call all Christians uneducated just because you came upon one who was.
I'm Christian and i am educated.. you go get educated.

homosexuality is not genetic, it's a result to the amount of hormones a fetus is exposed to. You could say that the mothers are responsible for producing heterosexual or homosexual boys.
but the fact that it is not Genetic does not mean that the tendency towards homosexuality could be modified, or controlled.
Christianity is a primitive religion, like most religions are, their objections to homosexuality, originated from their mother religion, Judaism, which is even more ancient, you don't expect primitives, 3000 years ago, to be educated, tolerant, or anything of that kind.

no wrong the bible says murderers, thiefs, liars and etc can still get forgiven, whereas homosexuality is considered an abomination. Now I'm sure that was just a rule invented to control the masses.
