READ BEFORE ANSWERING PLEASE;

ok If I told you I was raised in a home that never went to church never read the bible, in fact my family was as far away from God church bible as you could get.
one night when I was younger I had this unsaul dream, very real it was so real that many many years later I still rember it.
I dreamt I was looking into the heavens and I could see the stars and in the very midst of the dark sky was a brillent light that looked like it was energetic oblong shaped, it amazed me, I seen smaller little lights flying around it coming out of it and dancing all around it....I don't know how but when I seen it I knew it was God..or what he appeared like to me.....

I told my mom & dad they stared at me like I was nuts..lol
I began to search the bible..4 or 5 years later I became a christian, now my whole family are also christains....true story do you believe me?

conundrum....if I was visited by a demon, would that encounter have lead me toward God and salvation? or into some kind of demonic practice? satan or demons do not point the way to God quite the opposite.

imrt70.....let me get this straight, your saying; because I was not raised in a religious home and never had Christianity shoved down my throat that caused me to turn to God?
OK...what about all the people in here that say we should raise kids without brainwashing them in religion?
so they won't be delusional?
Please make up your minds...geeesh

Why wouldn't I believe you had the dream? I've dreamed about God before many times. The last one I had, I was in a great big gym type place and couldn't get out except up- there was no ceiling. Anyhow, suddenly smoke filled the room and this voice . . . the voice of God *in the dream* said, "Face your fears."

Very soon after that, I began researching Christianity- the religion I was raised in, and had many bad experiences with. Within a few months I stopped believing in it altogether.

Dreams are powerful and impactful on our lives, and like in your case, they can even affect others. The point is, they're also very personal to the dreamer. God appeared to you in a way you could comprehend. For me, the same.

I believe there is a God of some kind, but calling it God doesn't feel right to me. I no longer believe in Jesus, but that's due to my own studies and other things that led me to see it all in a different way than I had prior to my dream.

At any rate, do and believe what is right for yourself and if you've found peace and happiness in Christianity and it's because of your dream, then that's great- for you. It's personal all the way. :)

I believe yo u dreamed a dream but a vision from God can't be. the last disciple who had a vision from God was John.

I don't believe that that dream changed your life. What I do believe is when you start reading the bible the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit changed your life.

To God be the Glory! Forever and ever! Amen!

No, God does not do personal Visits. Those days have long gone. Moses was Blessed to be one who had a One on One with the Creator and that was for a specific purpose, that Occasion was to " Lead" the Nation of Israel out of Egypt.
Its quite Possible that you could also have been visited by a Demon.. the Possibilities are there..
The apostle Paul gives us an indication when he says: “Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:14, 15)

God can work in mysterious ways. Who am I to say what He can't do? It might be that it was Angles or some sort of revealing of/from God. God him/her/it self? Maybe not. A revealing of some sort? Maybe so. You evidently saw something and whatever it was had a good and profound impact on you. So, whatever it was...it worked.

Why do you need approval from man? Our Heavenly Father has blessed you and that is all you need to know, live the remaining days by faith and never forget what the Son of man did for you.

It is between you and the Holy one, no one else.

God bless.

I believe your story. Believe that you SAW God....no.
Being raised in a family that wasn't practicing religion, you simply felt wrong in NOT practicing. You WANTED to believe so badly that you convinced yourself that you saw God, and therefore became a practicing Christian.
If your soul is more at peace with itself, then I'm happy you and your family have found faith.

i know an arab muslim who had a dream that "God" visited him and told him to follow Him, and that he was Jesus.

He got up the next day and bought a Bible and is a follower of Jesus for over 15 years now.

i could have faith it. Our goals could properly be of something. that does no longer lead them to genuine. a technique or the different, i think of you're responsive to the actuality. As to concept in God, it relatively is a controversy of religion. You the two have it or you do no longer.
