I really don't think any of us can truly answer that with certainty. That is something you need to pray about. If an answer comes back in your heart to get baptized, if an answer comes back not to get baptized then don't. Just follow your heart because that is where Jesus answers our prayers. God bless.

Water baptism has NOTHING to do with going to heaven. Its not part of our instructions today as a member of the Body of Christ. We already HAVE the "ONE baptism" mentioned in Eph. 4:5.

When we believed we WERE baptized into the Body of Christ by the HOLY SPIRIT. He PLACED us INTO, or identified us with, the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been DRY CLEANED...no water anywhere.

It is the JEWS who were REQUIRED to be water baptized as a NATION OF PRIESTS. Water was part of their purification ritual. The professing, but ignorant, church of today has carried over this JEWISH ritual into Christianity, which shows how little present day believers know about their Bibles. Churchianity has taken the place of "biblical Christianity", unfortunately.

Why take the chance? It's easy to get baptized.

Who really knows. If getting baptized will make you feel better, get baptized. Don't stress about it.

if you're not baptized as in your defiant, then you're in trouble with God, that's for sure. Hell? not so sure.

if you just didn't get baptized because you were afraid, slight problem, but I'm not sure that's exactly hellbounding.

if it's just you never did it because you never thought about it or you didn't know much about it, then I'm not sure there's a penalty.

No. As I understand it, You have to believe in Jesus. He didn't say believe in me and be baptized in water.

Physical baptism is NOT a deciding factor of being saved or not. All it is is a sign which points to God's sanctification of that person. It is NOT needed to become saved whatsoever.

In so many words, physical baptism is just a church tradition that does nothing.
