ISLAM FOREVER

2007-08-16 03:11:53 · answer #1 · answered by *~Ãya~* 4 · 2 2

If I had to join a religion, it would be a polytheistic one. Probably Asatru.

Monotheistic faiths believe in a perfect God who inspired perfection in their scriptures. However, nothing on this planet is perfect. All scriptures contain numerous flaws.

Monotheism encourages people to believe that the flaws of scripture should be followed without question. This has led to great evil throughout history and continues to do so today.

Since polytheistic faiths believe in deities who are not perfect, their followers are always open to questioning the ideas from their scriptures. Polytheistic faiths allow people to accept the good ideas and reject the bad ones.

Polytheistic faiths are also more tolerant of other faiths. Perhaps too tolerant. This is a major reason why most of them have been eradicated by the monotheistic faiths they came into contact with.

As salaamu 'alaikym warahmatullahi wabaraktu, my friend.

If this one were not a Buddhist and if this one held a belief in a supreme deity, this one would practice Islam, hopefully in a pure form of the same so as to live a life of peace, justice, compassion, kindness, family values and equality for all.

Ma'a salaam.

may it all be well with you.
