I've been thinking about getting a small tatoo (an infinity sign between my thumb and pointer finger on my left hand). Do you think that would affect my changes of getting a job later in live? I'm thinking about becoming an actuary or maybe a math teacher (i'm a math major).

It may, that's the trouble with this prevalent fad, young people do not think of the consequences later in life, like getting an important job in business or some large company where tattoos look totally out of place. Also what is tattoos going to look like on the arms and ankles of a 65 yr. of matronly woman. Think before u leap.

I'd say if you want a tatoo put it somewhere that can be covered up if you do not wish to show it. A teacher sets an example and people will judge you on your appearance. I'd say don't get one there. BTW, I have 3 but no one knows that unless I want them to.

Actually you can focus your tattoo. How!!!!!!!!!

If you will be a good math teacher then everybody like you and like your tatoo also.

And if you will be a bad math teacher then everybody dislike you and your tatoo also. Not only this, you have to face some criticism upon your tattoo.......

Well i would have to say it is all up to the person hiring. There are a lot of simple minded people out there who believe that if a person has a tattoo they are trouble but i would think as long as the tattoo is not vulgar or tasteless then you should be fine.

Don't get one there, people will think you were in a gang. Get one where it can't be seen so easily. I think tattoos are great, but the rest of the world is too uptight for that.
