Christians, I dare you to swear on your necks that you made a conscious CHOICE to dig for your opposite sex!?
The bible condemns homosexuality all the way from the OT through the NT. And if you're effeminate, you're going to hell.(I've provided some verses that proves this in the added details) Therefore Christians can't accept the fact that gays are born gay. They ignorantly believe that gays actually choose to be gay.
First of all we need to define what homosexuality is! If you're sexually attracted to your same sex you are a homosexual, regardless whether you've had sex or not. It's your sexual preference that defines your sexuality not your actions! Thus if you were blind folded and deceived into thinking that a guy's anal is a girls vagina, and you penetrated willingly, it doesn't make you gay, does it? Got it?

Now, are you Christians saying that one can choose who you're sexually are going to be attracted to? Are you saying that you consciously made the choice to be attracted to girls?
Given that you now accept that gays are born gay, how would you feel if the bible instead condemned heterosexuals? How would feel if a Christian tell you that your heterosexual feeling is due to Satan playing with your mind? How would you feel if a Christian told you that you must not act upon your urge to sleep with a woman for it would be the same as the urge to murder, to steal or to lie? Well that’s exactly what a homosexual feels like.
I swear on my neck that I did NOT choose to be gay!
Now it's your turn, on your pile of bibles swear on your neck that you consciously made the choice to be attracted to the opposite sex!

Lev.18:22
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Lev.20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Rom.1:26-27
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that

I stopped reading your long list of nonsense midway. First of all, you are categorizing. Second of all, there are plenty of people who do not agree with homosexuality that are neither Christian or religious. Thirdly, about you shaking the foundation of ANY religion, that is highly unlikely because you lack the sense or creativity to do that. And lastly, the scriptures you sited pretty much made your argument contradictory. This question is getting really old, really quick.

Hey, as I grew older I could see what I was attracted to. As a guy, I had no desire to kiss, fondle, date another guy. Be friends, talk to each other, play golf together, help each other with projects around the house....fine. But "make out"..no way. Life, my own body and senses told me what was best. Why would I want to see another guy naked? He's got the same "plumbing" that I have. I'm not interested in that. A woman doesn't have the same thing that I have, making for affection and attraction. Food for thought. Does a battery have two positive ends, or a positive and a negative end? Two positive ends won't work. A positive end and a negative end will work. The man has the positive end, the woman has the negative end. They work together. Two positives don't. Think about it.

Im soo not reading all of your additional details, but Ill give you my 2 cents. Im a born again fundamentalist Christian and I believe that gay people are born gay...agghhast! Seriosuly though I do, I should say the truly gay ones are. I do believe that there are some that jump on the gaytrain for numerous reasons; it is kinda trendy in some areas. Overall though I would say gays are born that way. So does that mean I have SHAKEN the very foundation of your generalization of Christians' beliefs? haha Gods peace to you

I agree that some people are born gay. In fact, there's studies that prove it! So those who continue gay bashing and condemning gays to hell are very uneducated individuals who refuse to see the proverbial light about this issue. I'm straight but I have no problems with gay people whatsoever. I think gay men- the ones I know that is, are totally sweet and GOOD people who don't deserve any of the crap people toss their way. In a perfect world, this wouldn't even be an issue. Since gays ARE born this way, and 'God' supposedly created them, then absolutely condemns homosexuality, then guess what? God should be the one to fry in hell for being an idiot.

Christians don't say that someone wakes up and decides one day to be gay. It's not a sudden choice.
It is a choice shaped by life experiences and what they are taught. It happens over a period of time - through young childhood to the teenage years. It could be something as stunning as child abuse or something as quiet teachings in school and encouraged behavior.
A lot of people get angry at Christianity for not accepting homosexuality.
My question is - why would they have to? Why is it so damn important that everyone be on board with homosexuality?
Some groups try to equate it with slavery, saying that Christians thought it was okay also because of their bible. First off, slavery that happened in the Americans was not condoned in the bible. Second, slavery is an issue of equality of races, not sexual orientation. There is no teaching that says that other races are to be servants of another. Third, homosexuality does not exist outside of the human race. It does not occur in the animal world, despite the best attempts to prove that it does. Neither does slavery - which is one of the reasons that it was abolished.
In America, we all have freedom of speech. To say and believe what we chose. I don't care how you live your life. Do whatever you wish. But please don't come to me and try and force me to approve of what you do. I won't. And I don't force you to approve of me.

Well, what is it? Is there more? Umm, I don't quite get it, but yeah, generally speaking Christians believe that people choose to be gay and deny that people are born that way.
I wasn't born gay, so when gay people tell me that they were born that way, I have no choice but to trust them. I know that many gay guys I've meet have all had fairly large pecks, that almost looked like womens' breasts. So I think for a lot of people there are some genetic things going on there.
How will GOD deal with these types of people? I don't know, but I wouldn't worry much about it.

Homosexuality is a normal human variation just like height or IQ, our sexual orientation is not chosen whether gay or straight, the APA and the whole medical profession back this up.
Homosexuality is not a sin. The Bible does not condemn homosexuality, it does not even mention consenting homosexual relationships, the word homosexual does not occur anywhere in the Bible at all, if you have a Bible with the word "homosexual" in it then dispose of it as it is a bad modern translation. Homosexuality per se is neither referred to in the Bible nor condemned .
The Bible probably does condemn pederasty with young male slaves, same-sex rape and same-sex temple "prostitution" but none of these condemned practices are features of consenting homosexual relationships and would have been enacted by otherwise heterosexual men at the time and would have been thought of as quite unremarkable then by the majority of the population.

You know honestly, I think you need to take a deep breath.
I think you were trying to make a point but it isn't making sense.
If you are saying what I think you are saying that being homosexual is a genetic thing. I can use common sense to say no, and using genetics will explain it. Homosexuals can not have children as a couple. So if there is a trait they can not continue on that genetic trait and it would have died hundreds of years ago.

I consider myself a Christian but I will probobally get reemed for my answer here...I do believe that some gay people are BORN gay and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it...I posted a question about this the other day...I know the Bible states that it is a sin to be homosexual, however the Bible also states that we are not to judge, God is the only judge and that those without sin should cast the first stone. Doesn't this tell us that whether people are homosexual or not we are to love them? It's no one's business but theirs and God's. I don't think God is as unforgiving and cruel as people like to make him out to be. I am straight and it pisses me off to no end that so-called Christians and straight people think they have the right to judge a homosexual. I hear straight people always say "Gay people should not be able to marry" ...WHY? Does anyone tell us who we can or cannot marry? Everyone says God tells us--well He also tells us not to divorce, cheat or have premarital sex but no one listens to that now do they? If two people are in love, leave them alone. There is enough hatrid in this world!

peope who are gay are just weak in the following sense:
your friends are gay so therefore you jump on the band wagon and join in.
you let the devil play mind games in your head and then start believing that the same sex is attractive and then it's all downhill from there.
you let your environment contribute to your decisions ex. you live in sf and you see gays all around you and then you start to feel comfortable and become accepting to the idea
listen- i don't mean to hate, but it's a gross act that gays commit and trust me there is consqences that they will have to pay for in the afterlife.
people that are gay are in my opinion very ignorant......
they are so focused on fulfilling their animal attraction that they can't even step back and look at humans and the anatomy and wonder why god didn't create a 3rd type of human with different body parts??? their is reason why men and women belong together and the meaning of god is to serve him and procreate , but these individuals choose to listen to the devil's whispers and sabbotage their minds into thinking that the opposite sex doesn't attract them and suffer the pain of being gay in this life and suffer in the afterlife.
stop and think and ask for gods forgiveness and be strong against the devil
