First off, the Bible is very specific that we don't "put" that on our mama or anything else. It says we should be people of our word, that when we say something it is true and hence our reputation as such will be all we need to speak for us.
For those who lie, in any situation, there is only one Judge who is going to deal with it - Rest assured he is a loving Father - and has a heart of forgiveness. if you know someone is jackin you around and swearing it on something - just remember you can't really take them at their word, so be careful of what you do with, for, or around them.

God tells us not to swear such oaths. Simply let your yes be yes and your no be no. He goes so far as to say do not even swear by the hairs on your head.

God says not to swear on anything. Read the Holy Bible if you want the answers.
