I saw that today and it was just another example of how the world is lying in the power of the wicked one. He's no Christian and more than likely some dumb plant for Islamic terrorists, but most all religions are false. There is only one truth. It is a no wonder why at Armageddon 90% of the world's population will suffer destruction.
False religious leaders will always bend to accommodate political matters and other false religions. What that bishop said today was simply part of his own false religion he follows along with accommodating another. When will people see that if it is false in part it is false in all.
You cannot "play the fence" when it comes to serving God. You can't play and dabble in false religion and the actions of those perpetuating false religions should show the intelligent one that they need to steer clear or suffer destruction soon at Armageddon.

Absolutely not. The one real thing about religon is that we should be able to believe as we chose. Anything else would be unthinkable for an American. If a buch of poorly informed Arabs want to be islam thats cool with me, but I aint falling for that mumbo-jumbo. In truth, how can a man name a god? And then foust that name on others? Naw, I chose to believe what I can learn about the purpose of spirituality. I much prefer to have a mind open to wonder than one closed by belief.

I checked out the MSN site and was appalled at the statement "what does God care what we call him." Well he must care because he put His name Jehovah in His Word the Bible more than 7,000 times. Yes God has titles such as God, Almighty, Rock etc. but his name is Jehovah he gave that name to himself, mankind didn't give it to him.
It's just typical of false religion to teach or suggest something contrary to what the Bible really teaches. God destroyed those in the past that served false gods/deities he'll do so again.

You should call G_D by the name you personally have with Him. For when you have a personal relationship with Him or anyone, you always call them by name, not a title.
But realize Allah is just Arabic for God. Just as God is English for God. El, Elohim means God as well. These are just titles like Mr. Mrs, Ms. etc. They are not the Fathers name.
His name is: YHWH, YHVH, YaHWeH, YeHoWaH, Yodh-Heh-Wah-Heh, Jehovah, Jeovah. I personally don't like the J ones due to J didn't come around till the 14th century. There is no J in Hebrew.

All Allah is, is the Arabic word for God...so it wouldn't be that big of a deal...but it's a personal choice and I bet the bishop is gonna catch Hell from the Vatican for this...

Allah is a generic term for God in Arabic, Christians speaking in Arabic in the middle east use it for the Christian God too.

I answered this before. I think he does not know God is not a christian and if he thinks it will bring Muslims and Christians closer he is wrong. it is only a name but comes from the moon God at Mecca. I think the Bishop should be defrocked personally

I think he is crossing his own faiths 'religious lines'! I don't think he put very much thought into that statement before he blurted it out. I agree with 'brian8907', I, too, think he's going to caught h*** from the Vatican for this...

He is rit. wherther people will call or not he is Allah being his personal name. God is gradual development of the word Godot. Allah or Eelee or Eelah was used by Hebrew prophets. Jesus never called God or Jehwah, he called Eelie or Eelah etc so it is correct name.
