I've heard big people who lose weight get sagging skin.

Does this happen to everyone? Is there a way to stop it or lessen it?

Thanks for the tips.

I'll take it slowly but is there a good work out or something that'll help tighten the skin too? I am planning to lose like 120 pounds(yes it's a lot) so I'm going to get some skin sag.

P.S I'm 19 so at least my age isn't against me.

Well, I have been dieting most of my life. This is what I've read and heard about sagging skin after losing so much weight.

The amount of sagging skin a dieter gets after losing weight depends on the resiliency of that person's skin. This is mostly based on age and how much weight that person loses.

The younger you are when you lose the weight the better. Younger skins has a better ability to recover from stretching. Compare your skin to a rubber band. The newer the rubber band, the more elastic it is and as it age and gets older it gets more brittle and its ability to reform back to its normal form lessen.

Another factor that effects the amount of sagging skin a person gets is based on how big that person is before losing the weight. I guess this can be better explained using a balloon. The more air you put in the balloon the more it stretches. The more it stretch the more the balloon loses its ability to recover when the air is let out. It is like reaching the stretching limit of the balloon (aka the point of no return). This concept is the same for the human skin.

Combining these two scenarios would really be bad. It is sad but true. You might need to get surgery just to remove the extra skin (also known as skin tuck).

Good luck. I hope this information helps.

I just read that one has a tendency to have loose skin if loosing 80 lbs. or more. Also, the younger one is the better the skin will "bounce" back. Yo yoing in weight like Oprah does is dangerous and harms the skin. The best thing is to loose when under 40 and keep the weight off. Also lifting weights and exercising helps.

I'm not positive but I heard that the quicker you lose the weight - the better chance of it sagging, if that helps at all...

One thing that will help you lose weight: diet pills. I was one of those who did not believe in them until I tried it. And I tried a few. The best product I found on the market is made with pure hoodia and it works great! You can go to
http://www.newlproject.info and order you free trial, also you only pay 5.49$ shipping and handling. Good luck!

To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
