There was an issue raised in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve decided to disobey God. That issue Satan raised was:
Who has the right to rule? Jehovah God or Satan the Devil?
Since all the angels , in which Satan was one of, saw what had happened, God is allowing time to go by to prove to all the angels and mankind that Satan's rulership does not work.
The time also shows who love and appreciate God and want to do what he asks allowing Him to rule their lives, therefore, proving Satan a liar and not the one who has the right to rule.

Mankind is in turmoil because of trying to rule themselves. God created man to need His guidance. Adam and Eve did not appreciate the loving guidance they had from God, therefore, mankind has suffered because of what they did.

In a way God did start over. He had Noah build the ark. He saw that his people where terrible and was saddened that they were like that.He destroyed his people with the flood. Noahs family repopulated the world. The reason we are the way we are is that God gave us free will. We choose how we live our life. The reason for free will is that God wants us to love him truthfully. Without us being made to do so by him. As for pain and suffering that is the way of life. I just go by what it is said in the Bible. I count it all joy. Bad people just dont have Jesus. If you dont believe in Jesus just think of this He is the One who died for your sins.Even though you choose to be bad some people choose to repent after.

It was all part of the plan...God knew that they would eventually be tempted by Satan and eat the fruit. Adam and Eve needed to eat from the tree of knowledge to know right from wrong etc. Otherwise they would never have grown in knowledge, and would have stayed as little children in their minds. Read the following quote as it explains things a little better:

"If Adam had not transgressed he would not have fallen, but he would have remained in the garden of Eden. And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end.

"And [Adam and Eve] would have had no children; wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin.

"But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.

"Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.

I can't understand why rational human beings would buy that dumbass story. Why can't Christians just believe your God put us down here and ... here we are?

Why do you punctuate your religion with a stupid story written 2000 years ago by a bunch of goat herders? The Bible was written to appeal to the goat-herders! To get the message through to their illiterate, uneducated brains!

You people, on the other hand, are 21st century humans who have more than likely completed an education and yet you still believe in a talking snake, a ticked off giant, a strong guy with magic hair and a ship that held all the animals in the world???

C'mon, people! Snap out of it.

Adam and Eve did mess us up and caused us to be born dying.
God could have wiped it out and started over, but the plan of salvation for the offsprings of Adam came to be so by Adam all is LOST and by Christ Jesus
all is SAVED in the specified time frame allowed. 1Cor.15:22-28,51-53;

Yes. He does want you to suffer. Why do you think he plants the tree of knowledge in the middle of the Garden of Eden and says, "Hey guys, do not eat from this bush right here, because that'd be bad M'kay." And then he lets Satan into the Garden to trick them. Come on. He, the almighty divine creator of cheese and mushrooms wants you to suffer because he is sadistic.

God gives us free-will inorder so we could love. True love means that God gave us free-will, even if it meant that we can reject him. God doesn't want us to suffer, because he loves us soo very much. God can use our suffering though to bring about a greater good. God can teach us to love eachother and to love and trust in him more above all. God brings good out of evil. God defeated sin, death, and satan on the cross! Through Christ we are given grace to follow God by the power of the Holy Spirit! We should join our suffering to Christ and offer it up to God the Father for the forgiveness of sins and the conversion of sinners. God bless.

I always thought this creation story was a bit silly. If you put a toy in front of a child and tell him not to play with it what do you think he's gonna do? It's a ridiculous story that demeans women and preaches self-hate.... In my opinion anyways. Sorry Christians that's just how i feel i mean no disrespect...peace

Yes, but we must understand that we are as guilty as them as we participate in sin. We should also recognize that just as the enemy tempted them, he is working to bring you down as well.

I don't think you can say that if you were Adam it would have been different. Ask yourself what you are really trying to figure out by asking this question. What to you hope to get out of this?
