As a Christian..I often have wondered why fellow "Christians" do that...To me it is kind of a big DUH..you don't believe in God. What sense would there be in that if you believed in heaven or hell...what is the point of condemning someone to something they don't even believe in...Plus it is totally not any ones place to ever say someone is going to hell.

Nah, they know. But, in their mind, people who don't believe what they do are evil, wicked people. And evil, wicked people go to hell regardless if they don't believe or not. Of course, hell is an empty threat. After all, "God is love." What kind of loving god would allow his children, even if they were disobedient, to be set on fire for all eternity?

If you love someone you wish only good things for him. Christian can't wish that any of other people go to hell. We only wish that it could not happen. If we see a blind man going to a pit, it is the very immoral thing not to stop him. The ways of this world is known. There is nothing new under the sun. But people with surprising constancy repeat mistakes of former generations. To believe in Jesus Christ is better way of life. Why not to try to live as Jesus taught. You will see that your life will change for better.

I think it's, If god won't do it, we'll do it for him. They are doing their best to make sure there is a hell. I just don't get why some of them are so angry at anyone who isn't a christian.

You might want to look at it like this: You are walking on a sidewalk and along the way you see a house with a sign in the yard that says "Beware of Dog" You see the dog sitting in the yard and you think to yourself "That dog doesn't look so mean. In fact, it looks just like the dog I had when I was a kid growing up." So you walk up to pet the dog. As you put out your hand, the dog bites you. Hey...You were warned. You didn't heed the warning and you got bit. It would have been your own fault. A Christian is just trying to help. They are like the sign saying "Beware" The Christian is just trying to warn you and help you avoid disaster.

I wish that those who are Christian would not waste their time! They are either not really Christian, or they have a lack of discernment as to who they are preaching to.
I'll try to remember to not waste my time on you.
By the way, you aren't one of those nonbelievers who are asking Christians, "If I don't believe in God, will I go to Hell?" Because if you are, you are asking for it, and maybe complaining wouldn't be the honest thing to do?

they had to scare people into something...maybe they should come up with something else. hell isn't working on us non-believers anymore.

gee James. Just because you don't believe in Hell won't make it go away. We are trying to show you how to get to heaven, this life is just the opening act. The concert starts later.

they believe it because of the effect it had on people like me.............I used to be an atheist before but thankfully not now, 100 % believer now and the atheists here that have not converted yet are only here for one reason, to learn more about God because they are fence sitters still not sure if they want to jump in. REAL atheists like I used to be would never hang out in a place such as this that is full of religion. in their questions and answers they will deny it but that is only so their friends that see their questions an answers will not make fun of them.they will put up a very strong anti-God front but a front is all it really is.....100 % here are secretly fence sitters,..no true atheists here
