I'm with your boyfriend. I feel the MORE holes a person has on their bodys- then the MORE holes they must have in their head (because some of their brains must've fallen out along the way). :(

Personally, I think piercings are not in style anymore. And I think that a belly button ring might look cute 3 years ago, but it's trashy looking today!

I kinda like navel piercings. In fact, that's pretty much the only acceptable body piercings I like on a girl outside of earlobes. Nose piercings? Maybe, but I think only if the jewelry is too small to be a distraction.

Guys probably think lowly of girls who pierce their belly buttons. You'd be degrading your body with the piercing because people will think your something that you probably don't want people to assume of you.

my man loves mine!!!
Just a word of advice though, please DO NOT take it out before the 6 months of healing are up. It will be tempting believe me. Luckily though I was patient and it payed off. It is beautiful :D Unfortunately my friends changed theirs within a month and theirs got so yucky and infected that they had to take theirs off. Now they have ugly scars.....
Also, I gained 20 lbs and then I lost them and the piercing was the same. I guess because like I said I took good care of it and waited the 6 months before changing jewelry
And just to let you know, it hurts like hell so be prepared. I also recommend using saline solution (contact lens liquid) to clean the piercing when you get it. Sometimes they recommend using antibacterial soap, but it can irritate the skin. It is good to use every once in a while though. But definately use the saline solution! And don't use the dangling jewelry for at least a year (it takes that long to heal). It can get caught onto the clothes and pull the piercing, and believe me that also hurts like hell! Good luck, hope you decide to get it, it's worth it and looks super cute :D

ummmm honestly, i think you're just giving yourself a reason to show your stomach. Pretty much, you probably have a very flat stomach so you probably want to draw some attention to it with a belly ring, which is fine. But totally up to you. Do you really want all eyes to be looking at your belly. What if you gain weight? All things to consider. All up to you. :)

well i think it depends on your and and stomach "physique". no guy wants a belly button piercing on a 30 year old woman with a non-flat stomach. i personally think its cool for a girl to have one if they aren't too old or young and if they have the right body...no offense to anyone...

They hurt a lot - and leaving deep scarring. Other than that they can be sexy, but they don't really intensify physical stimulation of any kind, and you have to show your midrif all the time for them to be seen - and that look is pretty over unless you're in a bikini.
