how important are the 10 commandments to christians?
how many christians actually incorporate these commandments into their daily lives?
NEVER said "god damn it", or "jesus christ!" in a negative way?
NEVER wanted (coveted) something someone else has?
NEVER done anything but rest and worship on Sunday?
NEVER made something else more important to you than your relationship with god (i.e. car, football, money, etc.)?
if homosexuality is such a big deal to god, why is there no commandment against it?

a lot of christians seem to talk a good game, but they sure don`t seem to follow the rules set forth by the one thing they claim to be the most important thing in their lives.
i understand that it`s hard to follow the commandments in this day and age with all the distractions we have...
i guess what i`m trying to say is--"dear self-proclaimed followers of the "one true god", PUT UP OR SHUT UP"!
don`t tell me how i should live my life when you can`t even do it yourselves.

A woman married a man who was very stern. He gave her a list of duties. When she did not keep the duties, he became very angry with her. One day he died and years later she met another man and married him. the second husband was very loving and compassionate. One day she was cleaning the house and found the old list of rules. As she read them, she realized that she was keeping all the duties without even thinking about it because she was doing it out of love and not out of fear. This is the relationship that God has brought us into. The rules are the commandments.

The ten commandments although really great to live by were part of the Mosaic Law.
This old law system was replaced by Christ and his teachings.

In Matthew 22 Christ gave the commands to ¨love God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind¨....and ..¨You must love your brother as yourself¨

If a person followed these two new laws then they would naturally not be going against the idea behind the older mosaic laws.

Now in regards to what people ACTUALLY do ,,that is up to them personally and it shows whether or not they truly are following Christs teachings.
As the world is such a immoral and violent place with so many of its inhabitants 'claiming' to be Christian its again shows that the majority are not following Christ.

But there are ones that ARE.
You just need to look at their fruits.

They peaceable people not getting involved in worldly conflict and politics.
They are preaching the word of God and promoting his name and Kingdom throughout the world.

These people are true Christians.

It falls under the first commandment--- Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

you see homosexuality is sin---1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
-----effeminate--pertains to homosexuality

John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

there fore if you are a homosexual or a person who is under the influence of whatever sin----sin is your master.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

So therefore if your homosexual lifestyle presist and you don't repent and turn away from it together with all the sins that you've made then you will surely burn in hell.

Regarding the hypocrites....
It's not God's fault they don't walk the way they talk--they shall be accountable for that.

You still have a chance. Repent and turn away from your sins. Accept what Jesus did for you---He died on the cross and paid your sins. Fear God and keep His commandments.

To God be the Glory! Forever and ever! Amen!

Well I have done a pretty good job of following the 10 Commandments. Thank God we have them, this place would be pretty rough without guidelines like them. Many Courthouses still have them posted outside, or in the hallways.

Your parents gave you rules as a child, and, even though you were a good child, sometimes you broke them. That's because you are a human being. Human beings are not perfect. G-d made us imperfect, so he knows that sometimes we miss the mark.

G-d doesn't expect us to be able to follow all the rules all the time. He only expects us to TRY to. Our goal isn't perfection, it is STRIVING for perfection.

All things considered, if you want to keep Sabbath then you might want to consider moving it to Friday-Saturday sundown kinda like it was before Christianity lost all sense of tradition and observance.
