Boxer or boxer x. They are full of energy and eager to please. There are also many dogs in the working and hearding groups that fit the bill, maybe even a retired greyhound? Terriers are very energetic as well. Go to the shelter and see what they have, you may end up like me and bring one home that you didnt know you were looking for. You will also be saving a life. Good luck!

The Boxer is a great dog. Very entegetic and loves to swim once you teach it to swim. They are smart but are a little hard headed. They think they are lap dogs and are very gentle with small children. The are best described as being class clowns making them a laugh a minute.

Here is a video about Boxers...
Click on the "working dogs" on the right side of the screen then scroll down to find the Boxer.

i do no longer think of you ought to get ANY canines till you're moved into your place, began your instructions, began working, and be attentive to for specific what your schedule is going to be like and how properly off you're financially. era. supply it six months minimum, because of the fact i'm able to assure which you have got hurdles to handle that first six months. Are you a freshman? have you ever been to college till now? some faculties do no longer enable beginners or new scholars to stay off campus. And scheduling should not be great elementary - you will no longer have the potential to greater healthful a "complete time schedule" into merely morning instructions. And a component time (weekend plus perhaps some week days) activity heavily isn't adequate to have adequate funds a house, no longer to show yet another residing being. Like i pronounced, circulate into your place first. begin in college. verify your financial difficulty. Then, once you're good and have an concept of what you're doing, you may evaluate a canines. word: all canines bark. Wether or no longer they gain this excessively relies upon completely on how properly the canines is experienced, exercised, and inspired. era. Getting a canines good now's a foul concept. elementary and straightforward. canines thrive on stability. And shifting, beginning college, beginning jobs, new on your guy or woman.... it is not stability. it could be great undesirable for the canines if some months from now you come across out which you will no longer keep the canines for in spite of reason and ought to re-abode it.

Then you need to get something in the Sporting Group... like a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Golden Retriever, there's also this really interesting rare type called the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, you could even get a German Shepard.

to be honest a APBT would be great. The media and "pit bull" hype doesn't tell you this but they fit all the descriptions you give probably except for the swimming part. Some like water and some don't. I have a 6 month APBT and he's great. Taught him how to sit the first day I had him at 6 wks old. They love to be around you and to please you.

Border collie, heelers, Dalmation, Almost any of the hunting breeds (Weim, pointer, german shorthair pointer, etc), Vizsla, Ridgeback you might also look into the hounds...I don't know about their energy levels, but I imagine if you could hunt with them, their energy levels should be pretty good.
