i hate being tickles, like under the armpits in the ribs, the painful tickles. i hate them, but i like soft tickles, i wish there was a health risk involved but theyre isnt. you could say you have a weak bowel and if they tickle you, youll apply pressure and make a mess all over.

The only time there really can be health risks to being tickled are if the person being tickled has a major medical condition (weak heart, severe asthma) or if they are being tickled so long and so hard that they cannot breath and eventually pass out from it. Other than that, I know of no health risks.

On the other hand, if you are being ticked playfully and the tickler is respecting you and your limits, you do get an added health benefit in that your laughter causes your brain to flood your body with endorphins which promote healing and reduce stress.

It sounds to me like you do not like to be tickled though. Instead of trying to find a health reason to tell them not to tickle you, play the respect card instead.

Tell them that you know that they know you are ticklish but they should also know that you dislike it and you find it very disrespectful when they tickle you against your will. Tell them that you do not appreciate being tickled for their own self pleasures and you want them to respect your wishes and stop tickling you.

If they tickle you again, ask them why they have such a problem respecting you.

Most people do not want to be called out on the respect card. This should help.

Good luck and all the best to you!

For most people, I'd think it would likely be healthful, at least potentially. It reminds me of Jane Austen's youthful story "Love and Friendship". One of the two main characters, as she is dying, tells her friend to beware of swoons as unhealthy, "Run mad as often as you choose, but do not faint." Being tickled is like running mad, at least for me.

Definetely not. You will get more healthier if you get tickled because of the pleasure and excitement derived from it.
