every dog should be walked often. i would reccomend a boston terrier since they are ok in apartment life and do not need to excersize that much. if you want something small and light get a female. males are usually bigger and heavier than females. i hope that i helped. =D

Chihuahua, Miniature or Toy Poodle, Miniature Pincher. All of those are small enough to get exercise indoors. You should still walk them every day, though. Every dog needs exercise and fresh air. You'll have to take him outside at least 3 times a day, but way more often as a puppy. If you don't want to take a dog out a lot, try to get an adult who is housetrained already. Otherwise, you get the pleasure of going outside and housetraining a puppy every 2 hours. Look on petfinder.com to adopt a dog or puppy.

A mini or toy poodle won't really shed, but will need fairly frequent trips to the groomer to maintain that nice coat. They also don't need to be walked often, as long as you have a fenced yard or a doggie litter box, newspapers, or housetraining pad that you can place on the floor.

I'd say a pug, but that's probably because that's my favorite kind of dog out there. Mine's fat, but that's because we don't walk him often. AND mine sheds a lot, so maybe that's not a good choice. Pugs ARE adorable, though. Just saying.

you shouldnt look for a dog that does this and this and this...
you should look for dog at dog adoptions or the pound and find one you will get along with
it doesnt really matter if a label says it needs to be walked a lot
that is really in charge of the owner
good luck

Mini Schnauzer. This breed is quite lovable. They do enjoy quality time with their owner. They do need hair cuts but do not shed. I have 2 of them I would not trade my kids for anything in the world. They do love to cuddle.

Bulldogs may have short burst of energy, but don't need great amounts of walking because of their short respiratory system, that prevents them from being able to get too worked up.
Dogs really do need to be walked.
