I know these days girls don't care but what do you think.. Why?

Well if he doesnt ask you get out there girl and ask him i told ths guy i liked him and asked him out he said yes and now we are a couple make your move before someone else does.

Yes I think it is perfectly fine for a girl to ask out a guy. I find that some men, most of the guys that are good guys anyway have a difficult time asking a girl out. This is usually do to shyness. I know that when I see a girl I think I could like or meet a girl and like her, I get very uneasy and shy. If she shows interest then I am still somewhat shy. This is due to the fact that I am unsure if she is just being friendly and nice or if she really does like me. I think more girls should be willing to ask guys out. They would be surprised at how many would say yes and be so happy that the girl thought enough about them to ask them out. I have seen to many guys that ask girls out and they are usually the ones that are really no good. I find it very sweet when a girl asks me out.

I think the whole thing goes smoother if the guy does the asking AFTER the girl drops a hint that "No" is an unlikely response.
I was 24, girl was 19. We worked together at a newspaper. I wrote a weekly column, sometimes it was movie reviews.
She asked me if I had seen Dracula yet.
I said I had not but I probably would be seeing that and The Crying Game this weekend.
Girl said, "Well, I like movies too."
That was perfect. She didn't ask me out, but she made it very easy for me to ask her, without seeming desperate.
Find something the guy likes to do, mention that you like it too. You're job is done. You didn't ask him out and if he's interested at all, he'll ask you out pretty much immediately.

If the guy is shy or he is slow on the uptake or something, why not.
EDIT: Lol the poster who said "guys like shy girls" is generaly right but some guys are so shy they just can not talk to someone.
I really do not mind either way, I will go talk to a pretty girl hiding in a party or a girl who comes up, grabs your hand and says "lets dance" lol.

well i think that guys should always ask the girls out. if a girl wants them to ask her out then she should just try giving them hints but i dont think a girl should ask guys out

I think they should, for one I tend to be a bit shy until I know someone better. But not only for that reason alone but I find it rather attractive when a woman has the confidence to approach me. I think a woman who knows what she wants and goes after it is very sexy.

No reason not to. My ex asked me out, every other sunday.
I occassionally asked her out, by phone. But she did the asking, the most. I didn't mind it, any. It's hard for guys to always do the asking, even though it's right.

Yea, they should. Because most guys wont ask somebody out if its a sure-fire yes, mainly because we fear rejection. I think its a good thing for them to do
