Buildings Near Highway?

Question

In the Bronx (i forget which highway) there are these jail or hospital like buildings alongside it. What are they, what are they used for. At first i thought it was Rikers Island but it was not. They are beige colored. Please im really curious to know. thanks.

Yeah ok, don't "you're kidding" me i've been a new yorker my whole life so please....and as a real Manhattan-ite i don't drive. Anyways, I think its on the Maj Deegan.

Sounds to me the asker is talking bout the buildings along the deagan near yankee stadium, Those buildings are a prison.

I'm from the Bronx but really don't know even which expressway or for that matter parkway you're refering to theres the Cross Bronx Expressway, Major Deegan Expressway, Henry Hudson Parkway, Mosholu Parkway, Bruckner Expressway, Sheridan Expressway, Hutchinson River Parkway, Bronx River Parkway, Throggs Neck Expressway. Theres quite a few expressways and parkways in the Bronx. Rikers Island is located in the Bronx and the only point of entry to Rikers Island is from Queens it is in the middle of the East River pretty close to LaGuardia Airport.

Lol, you're kidding right? There are several expressways, interstates, and parkways in the Bronx and there are dozens of hospitals, campuses, correctional facilities, apartment complexes, and beige buildings you will have to be more specific.

Update: You've been a New Yorker all your life and you don't know that there are more than one "highway" in the Bronx? Or that even a neighborhood would help? It doesn't matter if you don't drive, if you have ever heard a traffic report in New York you are aware that there is more than one road in the Bronx.
