Seriously, I follow no man's law. The law of GOD is my guide for living. GOD's law say give to Ceasar what is Ceasar's. That guide is not man's law, but GOD's.
But although I adore Dogs, I do believe that a cab driver, be he Muslim or American, has the right to forbid hairy dogs in his clean cab.

Unfortunately when dealing with the public you sometimes have to give some. The Muslim is performing a public function and can't make up the rules to suit him. If his teachings mean so much he should find other work.
The blind guy could have been more sensitive to the others religious beliefs ( tolerance )and suing someone is not allowed in Christianity until all other attempts of Christian settlement. So the blind guy should not have sued.
They both probably have long loud extravagant speeches that never explain anything.
Probably from New York.

a lot of cab drivers do the same thing. The blind man should have ridden another cab. Getting the $2700 reward is bad. (Man's law) I've met a cab driver, sometime ago and his daily routine is to pass by the Home for the blind and look for blind persons along the road and gave them free rides.

Not sure if I agree with the whole situation. I mean, c,mon now, what could have been done different?
The cab driver could have arranged for another car to come and get the man. Obviously he could see, considering he was driving the cab, and knew the man had a dog. However, i do admire him for staying true to his convictions and beliefs.

As for the blind man, how the heck would he know if a cab driver passed him up in the first place if he couldnt see?

Crazy world we live in. I believe that perhaps with a little more love and tolerance and respect, things could be so much better.
And as for you who answer proclaiming that Muslims pray to a "false god".....how do you know and who are you to judge?
Just because somebody does not believe as you do....that does not make eithers beliefs any less valid. Perhaps when we all learn to have a little respect and common courtesy things will be different....
Just my humble pagan thoughts....

And to answer your question...we must follow both to the best of our abilities to be able to be the best person that we can be.

Bless Them All.....Especially the intolerant, ignorant self centered ones!

Blessed Be

You know, I follow God's laws, though not perfectly, and man's laws, though not perfectly. I hope that when the two are in conflict, I would choose God's laws over man's laws, but I am sure that wouldn't be perfect, either.
It's too bad Muslim extremists get all the press. There are many, many Muslims in the world who are peaceful, loving, considerate, hospitable individuals, and they are following God's laws as they understand them. There are many, many Muslims in the world who would never, ever set off a bomb of kill somebody. And there are many Muslims I know who own dogs, cats, hamsters, pet mice, gold fish...

it is no different than us eating cows tha some think are holy. the only reason this was a no no was because is it a guide dog and the Muslim man when he took his cab drivers test, would have be informed that guide dog go every were!!when here in the states go by the American ways not your old country's.

If a blind person with a seeing eye dog gets in a cab, that driver should allow the dog in the cab..I don't see why the back seat is a problem for the driver... If his religion is keeping him from this, he should be terminated and go work elsewhere....

The blind man shouldn't have gotten anything, because of a misunderstanding in what was said. (Muslims not allowed to be with dogs) perhaps he was really saying that he was allergic to dogs and could not find the correct words to speak it at that time.

As for setting off bombs, where did they get the training to set off these bombs, if not us, then for sure another developed country accepted finances to train and or supply the people who like to set off bombs.

Does anyone need more proof that Isalm is a intolerant religion lacking in basic human compassion as well as basic human decency?

Refusing to serve a blind man because of his seeing eye dog?

These are the same kind of people who threw a crippled man in a wheel chair off a ship, folks.

They prove it day in and day out despite the spin doctors in the news media and the propangandists on YA.

These people are barbarians in every way! And we are leaving thousands of them into this country.

Trouble is coming!

Follow Both sets of laws. If and I emphasize if they conflict with one another follow what my heart tells me to do. In the sad situation you describe the Muslim might have called the cab dispatcher to see if there was someone else close by to take the blind person.
