This is a VERY important question.
People like you can find the truth one day.
I will tell you what Buddha has meant :
God is a mental construct.
(Imagination of man)
In the universe there is war going on
between Good and Evil
The forces of Good comprise of -
Liberated beings (Buddhas), gods, good angels ,
good human beings and all that is benevolent.
The forces of Evil comprise of
Satan, dark angels, bacteria, virus etc. harmful creatures.
The idea is that Good sustains life
whereas evil tries to eliminate life.
Even at microscopic level , you find that
bacteria, viruses are always fighting it out.
Whereas the body is always resisting their attacks.
Due to good only our bodies can live for
60-70 years or more , whereas it takes only a few
days for a dead body to rot.
The free will given to you decides whether
you will join the legion of satan or of good.
By our actions we build up our habits and
habits make a person. This is karma.

There is a great deal of debate over whether free will is real or if it's an illusion.
To put it simply, you have free will. As soon as you make a choice, though, you discover that God has known it all along and it couldn't have gone any other way. God didn't make you choose the way you did, but he knew you would.
As far as going through calamity, the whole purposes of life is to teach us to depend on God. He teaches us by putting us through the normal course of life. We have good times and bad times. We learn through both. That includes going through hard times. The point to the Christian is that our circumstances aren't the important thing.

we are free. We have the choice to follow him or not. Everything was perfect at one time, and some idiot decided he was smarter than God. And that's why things are the way they are. As for the growing stronger through calamity.........think of it this way, when you excercise, does it not make you sore? You do it anyways because you know its good for you and you get stronger. Now, I know that isn't the same thing, but people do learn and grow from experiences. God's plan is not for us to suffer, its for us to love honor and obey him. God wants us to be perfect so that we can join him in heaven. God gives us the choice to accept him and be purified. Until we accept him we will never be perfect, and if we are imperfect we go to hell. It doesn't seem fair, but really it is, because if everything was fair everyone would go to hell.

These are the problems associated with believing in God. If God is in our space and time he is simply going about his/her daily life along with us then we have "free will" and his presence is useless. He cannot predict the future. However, if God is beyond our space and time and knows our future, can predict it then we do not have "free will" and his existence is also useless as he cannot do any good by preventing something bad from happening to people he "loves" and "cares about"
This whole problem of space, time, determinism and free will kills me because I do not understand why people believe in God knowing that he is all pwerful but he does not stop anything bad from happening to us, those he cares about. Thus the reason why I am an Athiest, well there are other reasons but this is one of them.
If God is not preventing this evil he surely does not care about us and is not all loving.

yes, all things are of God's will, plan and design yet we are still free to do what we want. we'll get ourselves into loads of problems because we dont have God in our hearts. and God does allow us to go through things to humble us so that we could realize that we need Him and when we do we'll let Him control the things we cant. You're right no one wants to face all that misery but its just a way to make us stronger. cruel and unusual punishment? i think not. a way to discipline us for the sin we've done? yes. then we'd learn from our mistakes cuz God does wanna see us burn in hell He wants us to repent from our sins.

God did not design you to be bad, but he gave you the choice and rather than wrap you in cotton wool he allows you to experience the consequences of that choice.
Knowing in advance what you will choose, rather than take your choices away from you, God has planned for how to handle it.
A major part of that plan was sending Jesus to be punished for the life that you have led so that God can love you as if you had lived the life of Jesus.

life goes according to God's plan if you choose to follow it.
and the "load of crap" you speak of, you need to reconsider.
firstly, not all bad things that happen are God's doing and not all good things that happen are [directly] His doing. He gave you talents and gifts, so if you use them to your advantage, good can result. if you make a bad choice or if someone makes a bad choice, then someone pays, fairly or not.
seciondly, if God is testing someone it can make you stronger. like with exercize: the more pain, the stronger the muscles get and the less dead weight (fat) you have.

i do no longer have confidence that God is controlling our lives like we are products on a heavenly chess board! i think of that God has given us unfastened will yet is often gazing over us, hears our prayers and helps to steer us. He gave us unfastened will yet additionally gave us the "policies" to stay by utilising, the ten Commandments. He gave us Jesus who's our salvation and confirmed us the main suitable thank you to stay and the thank you to handle others. the innovations are ours to make, precise or incorrect, yet we are able to be held responsible for them. i be attentive to that when something undesirable occurs in my existence i choose somebody responsible by way of fact with out somebody responsible i've got not got a place to concentration my anger. additionally, each and every now and then it form of feels that some human beings have miracles that ensue for them on an analogous time as others do no longer. perhaps they think of "Why did this man or woman get help yet no longer me? God is punishing me or does not care." and then initiate responsible God. it is an extremely complicated question by way of fact there are one among those super variety of distinctive those with distinctive ideals. i rather had an extremely antagonistic view of God for years. I had some issues that exceeded off in my existence that have been very complicated and complicated to handle and that i bear in mind thinking that I wasn't a bad man or woman and could no longer decide why God became punishing me. it is been only at present that I even have found out that God isn't the enemy and that in the time of solid or undesirable circumstances, he's by utilising my side. i do no longer be attentive to if this solutions your question regardless of if it is how I see it.

when my kids were small, i gave them the ability to make small decisions within my general permissive "will". this way, they were able to choose, whether well or poorly. Yet, i still determined the outcome of the greater events.
you will fulfill God's will. like it or not. the only choice you have is whether you receive his wrath or his blessings.

You have a misunderstanding. God has a plan for us but many people do not follow that plan. He gives us freedom to choose to follow the plan or not to follow it.
