There is no established dollar amount - anyone suggesting this is working off old rumors. The key is not simply money on hand in an account, but when the money was put into the account, sources of income, and other assets. Anyone can be a millionaire for a day while the money is deposited, the account summary is printed out, and then the money is withdrawn and returned to the original owner.

More or less, 1,000 dollars will do. It depends upon the Immigration Officer to require more in order that a person will be able to shoulder the expenses in the country.
