i noticed theres some question's on here that are similar but most are missing out facts like CANADA beat the USA before even it it was nearly 200 yrs ago and canada is a member of nato so if the us ever wanted to invade would they have to answer to nato.and one last thing ppl think that canada has a small army but i'm sure a lot more canadians even the ones from quebec would enlist to fight off a threat.

so i dont think it would be as easy as some ppl "americans" think i mean they are losing against Iraq

Let's make it more interesting. How about a game that requires intelligence instead of brawn, such as chess or the proper spelling of "potato"? Then Canada will win for sure.

First things first, Canada is a friend to the North so invasion is not going to happen so most of what follows is purely hypothetical. Canada has a small standing military compared to the United States. Even if Canadians volunteered for service it takes time to train them and when complete with training they still have no combat experience. The US on the other hand has the most technologically advanced military and they are battle hardened from fighting in Iraq right now so an invasion would be fast and not having adequate troops Canada would fall. About the Iraq statement, you need to look deeper then the local news because militarily the military is kicking the enemies ****. This is now a political football and if the US loses it it will be because the politicians called it a lose like Harry Reid did months ago.

200 years ago, the British were tearing up Cananda during the Seven Years War... in fact, Canada wasn't really Canadian - it was French mainly. It wasn't until the British victory against Quebec during that war that non-French people started populating the territory (and a lot of them were Brits from the American colonies).

Not sure why you say that Cananda beat the USA when we both share the same roots from 200 years ago. But I do have to say THANK YOU BRITS for making the French a small-time player in North America.

We are not "losing in Iraq." We are only losing in the media. Read my blog. http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-DfkctJU7dK5B7LcNROoyVQ--;_ylt=AvKCmn92W_FCk0ugZGetFge0AOJ3?cq=1
Look at the "Good News" Series.

The US has no reason to invade Canada. We are close allies and our Canadian brothers are doing good things in Afghanistan.

If "the moon struck mars" or there was a war between our two great nations, even if Canada mobilized every man, woman and child, NATO would remain neutral as an organization and Canada wouldn't have the manpower to fight off the US. Thankfully, we like each other, even if we don't always agree on foreign policy. Usually, we do though.

My dear troll poster you are right in the since Canada beat America when America tried to invade Canada on a few occasions, in fact head to head most nations could beat the US prior to WWII. Upon the start of WWII the US was relatively weak and not to terribly modern compared to other nations armed forces. Having said that, the US now could wipe out Canada with a whim, granted there would be urban hot spots that would be difficult and mountains areas that would also be tough (Mountain terrain is difficult for any armed forces). But why would the US invade Canada in the first place! Well if it became a communist country and cut off selling resources to the US then maybe. Stupid stupid post, you should have just put one with “what if Mexico and Canada went to war with each other” (my money is on Mexico).

Cheers

Why would Canada and the United States fight? We are allies and alot more alike than people think.

On a hypothetical case, Canada does not have the military forces to defeat the United States and would lack the influx of supplies to keep up an insurgency. Though Canada has much more area than Iraq, it only borders the US and would be much easier to isolate.

Shoot, why would we invade? The U.S. is in the process of creating the North American Union and that means Mexico, Canada and the U.S. are incohoots with each other.

We are also going to build a super highway that will be a strait shot from Mexico to Canada.

Hey, guess whose law firm is behind the super highway? None other than Rudy Guiliani's.

So, go ahead and vote for Rudy so you can see our Consitution of the United States destroyed.

It would be a nasty fight as far as technology goes they are pretty much the same on both sides but the U.S. has more and then some. In the end the U.S.A. would win but barely mainly they have been fighting longer and are used to fighting vs. Canada who is still trying to stay "low of the clouds" and fight against no one and still taking scraps from their mother country and not saying anything.

To all those who believe we are losing- the army enlisted in Iraq is pretty much a mercenary force. In the US we have a draft, meaning that you are a man and sign up to vote, you sign up for the draft. The draft makes out army hundreds of times larger....Its not currently in use...if we felt like raping Canada, we'd institute a draft...

The US has better military/diplomatic ties with members of NATO than Canada sorry about that one...

You're an idiot and dont know ur facts

PUT THAT CRACK PIPE DOWN, you have had way too much! If and when you do come to your sense, I invite to come down here to New Hampshire and I hope you don't miss the meeting.

What meeting, you ask? The meeting of my foot in your @$$, you slimy piece of $#!+. There isn't a damn thing we want from Canada beside having all your truckers stop drinking and driving here in the U.S.
