I lived in Hong Kong for half a year and I had a great time. I loved the little shops on every corner selling anything you could possibly imagine, and the food was wonderful! One of my favorite memories was getting to take the MTR by myself and pretty much going anywhere I wanted to without my parents having to take me. Although it was crowded most of the time, I liked how there was so much going on and how different everything was. The weather was a little too hot and sticky for me, but other than that, I really enjoyed the city.

If not three negative things Hong Kong would be a paradise.

1. People are rude, never say "Excuse me" or "Sorry".

2. Very expensive, especially western food, Real Estate, cars, electricity, clothes.

3. Extremely hot and humid most time of the year.

Hong Kong is great, it is exotic enough to really make you understand you're in the Far East but still civilized enough to be comfortable for Westerners. Many sights to see, great food, lots of places to hang out, superb shopping and if you happen to live in China (like me) you'll especially appreciate the opportunity to "go to the West" within a matter of a few hours.

Yes, I love Hong Kong. In fact, I've been to HK many times and each time, I vowed to visit again. The people of Hong Kong are much nicer and civilized than those from Mainland China. Well, at least, they (Hong Kongers) don't spit everywhere!!!!

I've been twice to HK, 2001 and 2002, I thought it was great and I'm going back this weekend. I loved the atmosphere, how busy it is daytime and nighttime. It's a great city, top 3 of the places I've visited, which are many.
