I know what you mean man, about the suicide thing. Man my situation is totally different from yours, but I've been in that place, not really wanting to kill yourself, but just wanting it all to stop. Thing is though, it's temporary, and there will be times when you don't feel like that, but I don't suppose I'm telling you anything you don't know. Hey look at these replies you got already, people care, people you don't even know care. That's true in life. Don't be afraid to ask for help, you talk about the 1800 suicide thing, man they're there to help even if you ain't gonna ever do it. I'm not some religious nut or nothing but if you are that low try praying, what have you got to lose? I think the best answer to depression is to make plans, things are crap now, but you can get some hope that they won't always be. Make simple plans, just little changes you can make. I'm not gonna tell you to get off the dope but maybe try and cut down, make a rule that you won't get high before 6pm or something. Try and get some exercise, go for a walk round the block, exercise releases chemicals that make you feel better. Plus you're getting out, seeing something other than the same four walls. Maybe keep a diary even if it's 'Got up, felt ****, got high' you're doing something. Small steps man. Have a little think about what you like doing, anything at all. I told my kids the other day, write out a list of all the things they've ever done that was fun, so when they're bored they can look down the list and find something that they fancy doing. It's stupid, but it works. Life is crap basically, but not all the time, it goes up and down, and all the people you know that have these fantastic lives, it's true what someone else said, you just don't know the crap they have in their lives, everyone has a heap of crap. Hang in there man, you're young, and it will get better, just try and get through this. I'd add you on facebook, I think pretty much anyone who replied to this message would, I ain't coming round your house to blow smoke but it's the start of a support network ain't it. Hope you get your **** together man

Don't worry about math. If you are pursuing a college career, don't be afraid to take some courses in algebra and statistics at a community college where the pressure is off somewhat and the teachers can work a little more closely with you. You should check to see if the credits a transferable between schools. Don't worry about what you want to do yet. Take a variety of classes. If you think you might be interested in a field, look into volunteer / internship opportunities. It gives you a chance to test out a field. If you are interested and the employer thinks you are good, it could easily lead to job offer.
